I like the soft touch finish of the unit. It has a smooth matte soft feel but is not actually "soft". I don't have the RDS equipped radio in my car, so I don't know how well that feature works.
Didn't give it 5 stars for two reasons. It's not fully compatible with the 3rd generation ipod. (That is the one that used firewire to charge and sync) It will play through the unit fine, but does not charge the unit. The old Kensington unit will charge and play the 3rd gen. ipod. And the plug fits loosely in european cars like Volkswagens. For some reason the europeans use a slightly larger barrel for their lighter plugs and some plugs fit so loosely that they will fall/pop out. This applies to the i2i and the Kingston too.
The recharge time on my iPod Touch is within an hour for full charge, which is just right for my commute. The i2i has an auto-off feature that is annoying and completely fantastic all at once. When you use one of these units for long enough you WILL forget to unplug it, but the i2i shuts itself off after 3 minutes if you're not playing anything on your iPod so there is no worry about killing your car battery. I also like the size of the iPod adapter as it will be easy to handle with gloves come wintertime.
I can't say enough good things about this transmitter, it does exactly what it says it will do and won't break the bank like the offerings from Monster.
Positives: Sound Quality, fit and feel, size, engineering
Negative: Display tends to be hard to read
