I was skeptical at first, but turns out this is a pretty good computer. Took it on a series of 6 dives during a weekend trip. The computer is simple and as long as you pre program your settings before you get in the water you will have a great dive. The computer resets to defaults every 24 hours so you have to remember to reset your preferences before every day of diving.

The most important thing to note is that the computer software that helps you easily set up the computer or review dives only works with PCs.

I am a new diver. My dive shop hooked me up with the Aeris 300. I did the online tutorial twice and printed out and studied the manual, but it's still hard to learn to use. The manual is little more than coded diagrams without enough helpful dialog. I'm a medical professional so I'm used to learning and using technical equipment but this manual is not well written. The computer FLOODED on my first dive. My dive shop replaced it with a NEW Aeris 300. This SECOND new unit FAILED on my 3rd dive with it and we had to end the dive early. The divemaster, who owns a dive shop and has over 15,000 dives, changed the battery (which was previously a new battery already) and confirmed that it was not a battery problem, the computer had failed. After the first failure I started hearing of other divers (3) who had Aeris 300 dive computers that failed. Not recommended
