Although I feel like my washer should be clean when it just finished washing my clothes, since they are now clean, my new fancy washer says to run one of these through it once a month. So I do and when it finishes it looks just as clean as it did before I did, but I'm sure there is some magic dirt it is washing away. So I keep buying them and running them once a month - not sure if that makes me responsible or a schmuck.

My washer tells me when I need to clean with Affresh, and I love using these tablets. My old washing machine used to get mold and mildew, and it was a serious concern for me being that our family has serious allergy issues. I almost avoided buying my new Maytag because of people complaining about mold/mildew under the drum. I am so glad I didn't let that get me down because my fantastic machine has changed my life. I can wash gigantic loads of laundry and thus do very few loads during the week. I would say I need to do the Affresh about every 2 months. I am not sure what they suggest, but I just do it when my washer "tells" me (it has a light next to spot that says "clean with Affresh"). The Affresh is well-priced and gives me peace of mind that my machine is clean and so will be the clothes that come out of it. Thanks for creating this great product that compliments my awesome machine so well. <3

First time I purchased these were from WM. I used these a few months ago in my old apartment. I never cleaned out my washing machine and figured I should. I loved them so much I snagged them up from AMZ. LOVE!!!! Wash machine "looks" new on the inside and no smell. I wish I could tell if all the drum gunk is gone. There is no way of knowing, but there is no smell, so I am convinced. The instructions say to use once per month on normal (color clothes) cycle or if WM has cleaning/basket clean cycle use that. I used normal, and next month I will try with basket clean.

My front loading washing machine was a problem. Clothes came out stinky. Put vinegar in it to be 'natural'. Got mad, and put bleach in it. Still didn't work. Was at appliance store recently and asked the guy for advice. He gave me a starter bag of these (I bought a different appliance) to try. Love it! Use it now every month ~ set a reminder. And my linens, towels, t-shirts. Everything smells good again. Did not think I'd ever had clothes that smelled right again (and pulled me off edge of swearing to never, ever have another front loading washer again) but just changed the sheets/duvets on all the beds and walked into each bedroom to a wonderful fresh smelling room! It was just then that I realized my washing machine was finally fixed!

I have used afresh for six years. The old tablets were thinner and flatter. They were always gone after cleaning my washer. These tablets don't dissolve and approximately 3/4 of tablet are left in machine after cleaning. A crumbly residue has to be cleaned from washer before it can be used to do laundry. I can't see the point of buying any more of these.

The washing machine at our vacation house will sit for two or three weeks with nothing going on and then be called on to wash a lot of loads of laundry. The sitting apparently was a problem because I could smell a not-so-nice odor with the first wash. I read the reviews and bought Affresh brand cleaner with the expectation that it would cure the odor. It worked so well I brought a tablet home with me just to freshen my washer there. I really dislike that odor after a period of not being used and the Afresh tablets took the odor away.

I have a front load high efficiency washer that is on nearly used constantly. With having pets and kids I always have at least 1 load of laundry to do a day. But recently there has become a sort of funky odor and the wash cycle is taking a while longer than it should. So I called the repair man out thinking I had a bad sensor. Well I didn't . I had soap residue buildup. He suggest I use the Affresh TABLETS to clean my machine once a month. I had been using an all natural method I found on line and he told me it wasn't enough. So now on the first of the month I toss a tablet in and set the washer to the clean setting. My wash times have gone back to normal and my funky odor has disappeared!

I never bother to go back and write reviews, but I had to for this product. My washing machine was funky and that's the nicest description I can come up with.
I popped one of these tablets in and set the wash to hot as directed. When it was done, like other reviewers, two different earrings that I've been missing, magically appeared in the washer. It was as though they had been previously stuck somewhere and freed during the cleaning. I ran the washer again just because the tablet wasn't fully dissolved after the first wash. Once done, the inside of my washer was sparkling and has not smelled funny since. This product is seriously amazing.

I didn't think these were going to work, and my clothes smelling like they were dried in a sauna was getting old. I would say my washer had an extreme case of the stinky's, I thought I would have to use an entire box to get it to the point where a single tablet every month would work, luckily I only had to use 2 tablets to get it completely stink free. I'm happy to report that they worked perfectly, and best of all, I don't smell like a wet dog anymore.
