Heroine was a little flip floppy on her emotions, but given the situation, it was totally understandable. If some freak who'd tortured me like that was coming after me again and attacking others to get to me, I'd be not so solid in my emotions either.
I felt sometimes there was a little lack of history with the characters and relationships, but in the end, it didn't hinder anything. I enjoyed it, and would like to know more about this family of characters.

New author. Started out really good then it sort of fizzled out the longer it went on.

I have been having PNR withdrawals, the last one I read bombed big time. So going into this book I was very very nervous as this author is so freaking nice. So I begin and immediately I'm knocked on my ass with how much I love the hero Zander.
Yes I did pick Thor, why because Zander is described as HUGE with muscles for days and he's the real deal when it comes to being a hero. He's protective, possessive and freaking funny too. He stole my heart the moment he spoke his first words.
Like this
“I love a girl with a potty mouth.”
and this
“Firecracker, you know how it turns me on when you talk like that.”
Now, Grayce ...I had to learn to love. I had to realize that her bitterness was due to her entire life of abuse by the hands of every man she new. Every other word she said started with F and ended with K and let me tell you she didn't hold back ever. Sometimes I wanted to shake her but then I'd remember how bad she suffered and was thankful she had Zander to heal the scars on the outside and on her heart.
“Where were you when I was still worth saving?”
Zander knocked down walls and she couldn't fight the most powerful connection she had every felt. Such amazing chemistry and I think her anger added fuel to their passion.
An evil bad guy who is probably the worst I've read in a long time, kept this couple on their toes. Along with the suspense came an amazing group of characters that beg for their story to be told. From little Stephen, to Marcus. I want more now.
Grayce's powers were like extreme in volatility. She would glow all over and everybody needed to stay the hell out of her way when she got angry. Her emotions literally boiled to the service.
Zander stood by her and loved her no matter how hard she tried to push him away. He saw deep inside how much she needed to not only feel love but learn to recognize it.
He couldn't get enough of Grayce and he never let her doubt how he felt.
I could go on and on but this book had every single element of the PNR romance that I love.
Hot sexy Possessive and Loyal Perfect Alpha
Strong willed and passionate Heroine
Secondary characters that I am sitting on the edge of my seat to get to their story.
&
last but certainly not least.
An epic love story that filled me up with passion, tenderness and romantic happiness.
I simply can't wait to read the next in this series and recommend these to paranormal addicts like me.

New author and first in a new paranormal series. I'm always on the lookout for something full of fresh ideas so it was with great excitement that I sat down to read this book. I've seen lots of books out there that tell of fallen angels finding happiness with mortals but the idea of a race of warriors descended from those angelic beings caught my interest. Furthermore the heroine has a few secrets of her own and although the subject of pre destined mates is not my favourite ( free will anyone?) I was captivated by the idea of a "potty mouthed" heroine! Add a hunky hero and an evil villain and we have all the necessary components for a cracking read.
Grayce is working in a bar but more then that Grayce is working hard to remain hidden and stay off any social radar. Why? Well Grayce has spent the last three years on the run from her abusive ex boyfriend , knowing that if he catches up with her it could well be the end for her. She's terrified of men and with good reason but has discovered her inner anger can give her strength.
Zander ,or Z as he likes to be known is one of a few elite warriors descended from fallen angels and he's known for quite some time that the woman destined to complete him is somewhere out there and he's not giving up searching until he finds her. Imagine his shock when he walks through his local gym and feels energy unlike any he's ever felt before! An angry closed off woman is pulling him towards her and boy does he want to gravitate in her direction but Zander is no brutish thug no he's a guy who really wants his mate to feel safe and happy so he decides to play the waiting game and try to win her over . Well even the best lad plans don't always work out and when Grayce is attacked outside the gym one night Zander refuses to stand by anymore and steps in. Grayce feels something that she has never felt before for Zander but there's no way she's getting involved with any man. Unfortunately time is not on Grayces side and her past has well and truly caught up with her. Tyr the man who previously hurt her so badly has discovered her location and he's determined to reclaim what he sees as his property. When Zander realises the danger Grayce is in he will stop at nothing to protect his woman but what if that stubborn woman doesn't think she wants his help? The danger Grayce faces is truly evil and it's only by trusting each other that Grayce and Zander will survive . Problem is trust is not something that Grayce is used to giving. Can Zander claim both Grayces's heart and trust before it's too late?
This was a book that is full of ideas and I enjoyed it. It's so hard for any writer to find completely new ideas as we are all influenced by so many things but I can see that Ms Daniels is trying to create a world of believable characters that her audience can care about . The heroine Grayce isn't perfect, she's foul mouthed but I think that's a defence mechanism but she's also much braver than she gives herself credit for. As for the hero Zander (sigh) he's a gorgeous hunk of male with a sensitive soul who truly wants to make his mate happy and will do everything in his power to make her both safe and happy. Lots of steamy moments will help ensure that!
As for the plot well at times it did remind me of a certain brotherhood I admit but the idea of Tyr and his depravity made this book stand out. The heroine has had a lucky escape but he's such an odious character that as a reader I just wanted to see him get his comeuppance and that's the beauty of this book. I really did not like Tyr! Is he a caricature ? Well yes but this is fiction so there's nothing wrong with that. Bad guys should be vile and good guys are supposed to be heroes so no complaints here. I felt the writing a little self indulgent at times as the author tried to use such emotive language but it did not detract from the storyline. I'd just like to see the next book tightened up a little . The world building still has a way to go but with supporting characters it's shaping up quite nicely to be a good series.
So this book was a pleasant surprise and as it's the authors debut my admiration knows no bounds. It's sufficiently different to other paranormal romance books out there to both get and hold this readers attention . Loved the hero Zander and will certainly look out for the next book. Fabulous fun although the abusive violence portrayed is quite hard to read about , well done Ms Daniels and more please!
