Initially buying the series 1-5, and believing it to be the book in it's entirety, led to the discovery of a 6th "book" to be released Spring 2017. I suspect it will not end there. Responding to a late 2016 survey, 1,014 of my clients agreed they expect to read what is absorbing, thought-provoking and illuminative, start to finish, prefering closure to one narrative before beginning another. They understand the cost, and willingly pay more than what the ultimate total will be for these "books".
Devon C Ford:
Your overall writing style flows easily, your character descriptions are well presented and you've constructed a strong, believable and thoughtful timeline of events in Survival, Humanity & Society, #s 1-3. In #4 Hope, while the conceptual idea is certainly understood, you gloss over fundamental events that deserve more fleshing out while the more mundane is prolonged. This continues and becomes more obvious throughout #5 Sanctuary. The perception is you are less sure of your subject matter now, resulting in a more cursory treatment of the chronicle as you seek realistic closure for your characters. Hope and Sanctuary lack the richness and solid, structured content created in #s 1-3. You have failed in #s 4-5 to build a storyline strong enough for readers to wait for the release of #6. Unfortunately, this break in timing gives imaginative readers time to conceive what possible endings might be employed, bringing closure to your series for themselves.
I start the book knowing that I will not be able to put it down. Every night I loose sleep because I read late into the next morning.
Great book, story, and author.
