Was it what I expected? Well, since I haven’t read F/F books, I suppose I didn’t really have expectations. While I was reading After Summer Ends, I had to stop several times simply because I was carried away by the emotions I felt. Both of those women, Willow and Summer, had gone through so many obstacles in their lives and yet both of them had survived them.
However, I think the overriding theme of this book is love. Love has a way of making people stronger. It doesn’t matter what form this love takes, but it is the strongest emotion a human being can feel and I felt it a lot during this book. I loved each of the main characters as individuals but most of all, I loved the way each of them supported each other.
Although there were a few times I had tears in my eyes, I finished After Summer ends with a big smile on my face.
I gave After Summer Ends 5 shining stars.
