The Aftershokz sound great and have none of the drawbacks of other corded or cordless headsets. They also work great for telephone conversations in all but the noisiest environments. My only complaint is that when I use them to listen to video material on my Kindle Fire, the bass notes can occasionally be skull tingling. I could probably fix that simply by changing the EQ but haven’t been sufficiently bothered to try that.
This is undoubtedly the biggest bang for the buck of any piece of fitness equipment I have ever purchased.
Update: I have since purchased a second Bluez 2S a titanium and two pairs of air. I still use them all regularly and still love them. Tempted by the Aeropex but really—how many pair of bone conduction headphones does one guy need!
The good parts - it is a very sealed up design, so my sweaty self does not seem to be destroying the device. Its batteries last me for over three almost hour long runs, and I'd guess maybe 3 hours play time. I will never get to do the max test on that. They charge quick.
Rapped around your head from the back, hanging over your ears will be a different experience for all the head shapes and sizes out there. It was okay for me, and at times the "clamp down" at my ears feels pressure at the end of a run. I think it would be uncomfortable for longer. Even headachy. I also needed to leave my phone in my right pocket to not have the blue tooth cut out sometimes. It is common to have to find the right mix of distance and signal through your body - at least for me it has been. Some things seem to have their antenna not centered.
Update: The device did indeed perform well for another several thousand hours before it eventually lost it's bluetooth connection, never to connect again. Again, I'd like to point out that this is after 8 months of very heavy use. This device clearly has room for improvement, both in terms of features and in terms of durability, but performs quite well for it's price point.
Returned, no extra stars _for_ the return because this was the first time - and last time - a refund took 10 days to process. With THAT being Amazon's new standard, I may as well shop @ any one of hundreds of websites whose return service is equally clunky
