Obviously my ears are open, so when I am in a loud facility or operating equipment, it is so easy to just put in some foam ear plugs and still be able to hear through the headset. That flexibility of choosing different arrangements of hearing protection has been great!
The headset easily pairs with multiple devices simultaneously. I was not sure how that would work on a practical level, but when I had it paired with my phone and laptop (attending a webinar on the laptop and using the headset for audio), it automatically switched the audio to my phone when a phone call came in. It worked just how I would have hoped in that situation. As soon as I hung up, it automatically gave me back the webinar audio from the laptop. There may be some trick involving which device you pair first, and I just got lucky about how I did it; I don’t know, but it worked very well in that situation.
So I have been wearing this headset all day long at work, every day, and have been comfortable and pretty happy with the whole arrangement. When I am home, I use a Creative Labs BT-W3 usb bluetooth dongle to attach the headset to my PS4 for gaming. If you use the right mode on the dongle, the headset mic works just fine and can be used for game and PS4 voice chats. So now I’m wearing this headset for a number of hours at home as well. As you can see, I have been using it a lot over these last three weeks.
If it has a full charge in the morning, the headset has easily lasted through my day at work and for a few hours of gaming at home. The only time it has died on me so far is when I forgot to charge it one night and ended up trying to do all of that 2 days in a row. It finally started complaining about 2 hours into the second night of gaming. Given this, I can’t really say anything about the battery capacity less than it seems very adequate; it is quite good for how much I am using it in a given day.
In terms of audio quality, understand that I am mainly using voice applications. I don’t use it to listen to music, so look elsewhere for an opinion on music quality. For voice applications however, it works as well as, if not slightly better than any other small headphones I have ever used. When I say that, I am including small over the ear headphones as well, but not full size over the ear headphones. You know, the ones that sound great but make your ears sweat after a while. For my uses, the sound quality is good and I love the sensation that the voices are in my head… It is so easy to use the headset and still be able to hear my wife call out that she needs me to bring her something, like she does. Your ears are uncovered, unsweaty, and nothing jammed into your ear. The pressure against your temples hold the headset in place, but is not so snug as to be uncomfortable, at least for me.
For my part, I think they are fantastic and wish I had gotten a pair a long time ago. Ok, now for the good stuff; the drawbacks, the cons. With excessive volume or bass, they tend to vibrate against the sides of your head. Nature of the beast I suppose, just the way it is. It is a slightly annoying sensation. As some others have observed, I do notice the occasional change of volume for no apparent reason. Maybe it has something to do with the distance from the Bluetooth transceiver while walking around? No clue, but I do notice it occasionally.
The headband hangs loose in the back, it is not snug to the back of the head. So, if I am wearing a collared shirt or a coat, that band is constantly bumping into the collar. It is annoying, though it strangely does not really knock the headphones out of place for me. It is simply annoying. Part of the weight of the headphones, however light they are, is borne by the part that loops over the top of your ear. Despite being used to wearing glasses, sunglasses, lab safety glasses, etc., it feels just slightly different, particularly when also wearing a pair of the aforementioned glasses. I acclimated to the feeling quickly, but your personal feelings may vary. The first few days the tops of may ears were slightly annoyed at me, but they got used to it and stopped complaining soon enough. Add glasses and a hat and your ears have a few things going on around them. I got used it.
As you may have already guessed, none of these drawbacks are big enough to dampen my enthusiasm for this headset. I do wish the head strap in the back was somehow adjustable to fit more snugly. Maybe that was just not a practical design choice with the electronics needing to reach both sides. I wish they were less expensive. Despite these things, I find the headset to be a huge improvement over everything else I have ever used for a headset, at least for voice applications.
Now, if they could just pair this with a bluetooth throat mic that picks up the vibrations in your throat and transmits no background noises, I would brave the noisiest machinery spaces in the world while being on a conference call! You hear that Aftershokz? Bluetooth throat mic/wisper mic? You have to do that to go with these! I’ll send you my contact information for the royalty checks later, since I did just give you the idea.
I thought I had lost them... until I found them when I was taking a load of clothes out of the WASHING MACHINE and there they were. I thought FOR SURE they would be dead. They SURVIVED... to find a product that does what it says is hard enough... to find a product that does better than it says NEVER HAPPENS ANYMORE.
These are amazing headphones. I'm so impressed and now loyal that I'm going to upgrade to the OpenSwim model even though I don't actually have to.
1. Delivery and Packaging: One of my priority is on-time delivery. I paid for PRIME and very often didn't mind paying a little more to get my product earlier, so I would not tolerate delayed delivery. If I paid for 1-2 day delivery, I want the item in 1 or 2 days. I understand that the delay could be a problem of the seller, Amazon or the carrier such as USPS or UPS. Among them the worse one I experienced is always USPS. 80% of the time I got my delivery late from USPS, 10% of the time they said delivered but never did (this always scared me especially the item is a little bit expensive and you did not know where they have delivered), 5% of the time they never arrived and only about 5% of the time it arrived on time. This time, the item was delayed by 1 day, (looks like it was UPS's problem), but regardless of whose fault it was, it was late and I do not like my products not arriving on-time, this is a BIG negative for me. If this is not your concern, that would be fine. The packaging was solid and everything seemed to be in there.
2. Charging and indicator: The manual said when it is being charged, the indicator light should show red, and would turn blue after it is fully charged. I have it charged overnight, but in the morning, the charging light was still red. That is not a good sign for the product to show such a problem before I even use it. I don't like products that do not do what they said will do, so immediately I went to Amazon and returned it. After that I thought I would give it another chance since I would not be able to drop it off at the UPS store yet. This time, after a while, the red light turned blue. So I gave it more chance to show itself before I would return it and started testing it. (Refer to the rest of this review for its usage.) After using it on and off for about 4-5 hours, I got home and recharged it again to see if this time it would indicate fully charge of not. The manual said it should be fully charged in 2 hours, this time it did changed to blue after slightly more than 1 hour of charging.
3. Usage: Pairing the headset with my cell phone was easy and I was also able to pair it to my desktop with no problem. However, the manual seems to say that I would be able to use between the two devices, but actually I have to disconnect it from one in order to use it on the other.
4. Wearing: The reason I bought this type of headsets was that I have ear pain problem after wearing the other type of headsets for a while. This headset would rest outside and slightly above my ear, so my ears were not covered and still opened to the environment. This would have been great, but I wear glasses. Many reviewers said that it was great for people wearing glasses, but I found that if I wear it on top of the glasses, the headsets did not sit very close to my skin, but if I did the opposite, the glasses handles would press on the headset and after a while, the area where it pressed will be sore. To alleviate the discomfort, I need to keep moving the position so that the area would not be pressed constantly. Depending on the shape of the back of your head, the headset may not fit your head and may hang loosely on the upper part of your ears, thus putting weights on it and eventually causing soreness around that area too.
5. Volume: Since the headset was not in the ears, I found that the volume was not really sufficiently loud for my liking. I like the volume control be in such a position that it has sufficient loudness for me and yet has room to move higher or lower. As of now, I need to set the volume on my phone to the highest just to listen to my liking or I had to put the headset directly covering my ears to get louder volume. It seemed that it depended completely on the phone's volume and did not have amplification of its own. I had to install a volume booster app on my phone to get the volume I need and the control I prefer.
6. Cost: Although this is not the most expensive headsets, yet it still cost me $80 and it is not cheap. For this price and with the kind of performance and problem I mentioned above, it is not convincing me to keep it.
Conclusion: As a result, I am returning it.

Sobre los auriculares;
A destacar;
Sugerencias de Mejora;
I bought these both for running, sessions on my turbo trainer and out on the road on the bike. Earphones that don't go in your ears - yeah right but I read the reviews and watched the videos and went for it.
I am so glad I did - these are brilliant. They pair instantly, fit both for running and with a cycle helmet and the sound quality is more than good enough for when you are exercising in particular. Sure if you are flying down a hill at breakneck speed with the wind in your rears they are a bit quiet but I have to turn the volume quite some way below full when out on the bike to ensure I can get the balance right of hearing the music/podcasts as well as the traffic - and its this they are particularly great at. I do not believe its right to be riding with earphones in (or running for that matter) and did use an old set of earphones with one earplug cut off which sort of worked but these are so much better.
Thanks guys - I love these.
