Even though I am not the brightest bulb on the porch, I never could figure out why the Republicans would break into the DNC, since Nixon was clearly going to win the 1972 election. Tegan Mathis's book provides a much more credible explanation of what was really going on, than what we were told by Bob Woodward.
Anyone considering reading this book might find it useful to brush up on the Kennedy assassination and the horrible shenanigans which went on behind the scenes, if they have not already done so. Anybody who believes that Lee Oswald shot Kennedy and that he acted alone will probably not like this book at all.
In the month or so since publication, the corporate media has not carried a single notice of charges brought against the author by any of the named principals. It I were named and NOT involved, I'd certainly be in court seekeing a cease and desist order and defamation suit. Silence tends to speak volumes in this very specific case.
Ike's seminal warning against the military industrial complex (today's neo-fascists) was articulated by someone in the Commander In Chief's seat and wise enough to call out a warning to ALL Americans against the elements of greed, corruption and Hitlerian evil.
This is an eye opener and draws aside the curtains of a long running cabal to let the light of truth into the brandy and cigar smoke of those who not only stole the gold from the skulls of their victims in WW II but who seek to do so to our citizens of today.
Just think of the path our nation has traversed since that black day in Dallas and how a well balanced nation (economically, educated and well intended) has gone from hope to the economic despair that grips our country today. The enormous shift in wealth to the the very wealthy is almost obscene, our educational system is in disaray and the ultra wealthy are salivating at how to seperate the once vibrant middle class from its Social Security benefits and salt those funds away in the Swiss vaults safe from the American tax collectors.
At last, the light of day may have pentrated this coup from fifty years ago and even see some of those greedy, evil and corrupt villains be brought to justice.
The near state of perpetual war is good for our military industial complex bottom line. How many of the Bush, Cheney, etc, 1% families serve in the US armed forces today? Ask Mitt Romney.
Against Them's implications are wide and deep. Tegan Mathis is compelling; simply by decoding the secrets of history. You may believe or you may doubt but you will definitely be left thinking....
