The other reviews have complained this code doesn’t work and I understand why. It appears to be an Xbox code/versionbecause it says Xbox; but that is the name of the Game Center in windows. It’s actually the windows PC version of the game. Xbox is a Microsoft brand and the Game Center on windows is named Xbox. This code works in the Microsoft store of windows and allowed me to download the game and play.

This is a Windows CPU version, not for the Xbox console, which is easy enough, BUT check your system for AVX instructions first....

I downloaded it onto Win10 but get a pop-up saying "Your CPU needs to support AVX instructions to run this game."

My computer doesn't have this file and the game won't play. (I didn't see it was listed in the system requirements.) You'll need to check your CPU for "AVX instructions" before purchasing this game. There's a video on YouTube on how to: check if you have it, and turn it on/off. You can't just download the AVX files, so if you don't have it in your system this game won't play.

You can Google "AVX Age of Empires" and see others that have the same issue.

What a bummer with no returns and that not being stated as a requirement.

I am not able to install. Evidently I loaded the code into XBOX not reading the OTHER instructions further down. Then when I tried a direct install into Windows it said that the code was already entered into XBOX. XBOX just asked me to subscribe to more services. Then there is no way to correct this. No humans to ask. Just online help that says once entered into XBOX you can't load it via the PC. So waste of money for me because I can't run the game..

Smooth, fluid transitions during game play. My fave is to play in 'Skrimish Mode' and pick my own AI players to go nuts with. Hours of fun.
I wished they would make a version to get us onto the 1950's at least. Not just stuck at Castle Age.

Even a general search for age of empires IV comes up empty. Looks like I was sold a bogus game. Will try and return but Amex will likely need to step in and credit me
