Can you unite the clans of Japan amidst the tumult of war? Age of War is a fast-paced dice game for two to six players, created by world renowned game designer Reiner Knizia. You and your fellow players assume the roles of daimyos competing to unite the warring clans of feudal Japan and assume control of the nation. During play, you muster your troops by rolling seven custom dice. You then use these troops to lay siege to any of fourteen different castles, each of which requires you to assemble a unique combination of troops in order to conquer it. Castles grant points towards your victory and you can gain more points by uniting an entire clan. The daimyo with the most support at the game's end is the victor.

If you love luck of the dice roll games such as Yahtzee, then give this game a try.
Reiner Knizia's well designed game involves rolling seven special dice and matching the symbols on the dice to capture fortresses.
Once all the fortresses are captured, each player totals the value of their captures, and the highest score is the winner.
You could easily scale the length of the game by removing some of the harder to get fortresses.
You could play this with kids down to 5-6 years old with some adult interaction.
It's far from the deepest game I've ever played, but makes for a wonderful little time-killer when you have neither the space, nor the time, nor the attention span for a more involved game. Takes less than a minute to learn, doesn't require much space, plays quickly...and yet I can see how it'd turn cutthroat in a hurry with 4-6 players who all understand how to suss out the metagame of a competitive game.
I don't see it becoming the life of every party, but it'll certainly become a permanent addition to my convention demo kit, and being great for kids it'll also see lots of use during family gatherings.
