Matthew Harrison, Pinkerton agent, has always prided himself on being ready and willing to accept any case he's assigned. He's a team player, after all. But when his new partner, a pretty young female agent from the Chicago office, shows up to escort him to their assignment in Santa Fe, he's not at all sure what to make of her. What Matthew and Esme uncover is a lot more than expected making this quite a dangerous case. If they don't step outside of the perimeters of the assignment, the end result could be disastrous to our foundling nation. As the two work together, each wish for more than a work relationship. Will it happen. Loved this book.

Esmeralda/Esme & Matthew’s sparing & sleuthing are so delightful, I didn’t want it to end. I sincerely hope Ms. Adams is open to considering a “Hart to Hart” Western series staring Esme & Matthew.
