"A New King of Thrillers on the Horizon" -Sisters in Crime

From the Author

Agents of Change is a novel of suspense, a pinhole into a monumental and immensely complicated struggle for a better world. Because of the constraints of the genre, and in the interest of reading flow, many aspects of the work of the agents of change were either omitted, or were only alluded to, on the pages of this book.

Curious readers are encouraged to seek further material concerning progressive Catholic priests - Agents of Change - in relation to Liberation Theology. Involved in the struggle for a better world were, among others, Franciscans and the Society of Jesus, or the Company of Jesus, better known as Jesuits, whose efforts were strengthened by the decisions of the Second Vatican Council (Vatican II), with its "preferential option for the poor", which terrified the Vatican Hierarchy and the United States, alike. Indeed, Liberation Theology was deemed by the U.S. military intelligence to be the biggest threat to American interests.

The struggle continues today, and some of the demands of the agents of change include, but are not limited to... Please visit author's website for details.

vatican, the oldest continually operating intelligence agency in the world has a mole inn the pentagon. As military intelligence hunts for the mole, the agents stumble upon a global network of priest spies who penetrated governments, fomenting revolutionary changes. Death squads, coups, uprisings, the revolution is bloody, but the goal is a completely changed world. this is a pretty exciting thriller, particularly giiven the new Pope Francis dubbed the communist pope.

I really do not know how this book obtained 5 stars - it is terrible and lacks any decent writing at all. Perhaps it was written by a child as a first attempt & someone took pity on him? One of the worst books I have (tried to) read for a long time.

Having read Jack King's previous novels, I had high expectations for his latest, Agents of Change. I was not disappointed.

The Second Vatican Council (Vatican II) was the most significant single event in modern day Catholicism. It was concluded that the church needed to demonstrate more concern for the conditions of the modern world while still holding close to its sacred traditions. The council fostered cooperation and understanding of other Christian churches and their secular mores.

Change within an organization of its size does not come easily and fifty years after the historic council, while some feel a sense of exhilaration about the modicum of changes made to-date, there are many others who are vocal about what they see as a betrayal of the spirit of change promised by Vatican II.

It is not surprising, then, to find the Jesuit order in the thick of this controversy. Known at times
to be overly liberal and diverging from official Church teaching and papal directives, the Jesuits are split when it comes to the role they should be playing in today's society.

As Agents of Change in the USA, a sector of the Jesuit Order, corrupted by anti-papal dissenters, is intent on changing the political structure, banking, military-industrial complex and educational systems. Their motto, Ad maiorem Dei gloriam (To the greater glory of God) has a special meaning to them; the end justifies the means.

Obedience to the Order and to the Pope no longer has any meaning to these agents of change as the Church's teachings on abortion, birth control, masturbation, pre-marital sex, homosexuality women as deacons, secular issues involving globalization, consumerism and control of economies by capitalist/banksters are at the forefront of their rebellion.
