Product Description

Product Description

The race to Home is on. Get your marbles on the move and zip ahead of your opponents. Take a chance on shortcuts and try to get home faster, or zoom around the board and chase after other players. Have fun Aggravating your opponents -- and send their marbles back to start. But watch your back, or else they can "aggravate" you, too!

Game includes a brightly colored, updated look for the game board, plus one die, 24 marbles and complete instructions.

Amazon.com

Grrr! Getting aggravated yet? Aggravation is the classic marble race around a star shape, from base to home sweet home. It's always tempting to take a shortcut, but beware! An opponent might be waiting for just such an opportunity to aggravate. By landing on another player's marble, anyone can send that marble back to its base to start over. And this could be a serious setback, since the object is to get all four marbles back home before the others do. Each player rolls the die and moves a marble around the board, choosing along the way whether to aggravate another player, take a shortcut (or super shortcut!), or just try to quietly slide by (good luck with that approach!). The game includes 24 marbles, 20 -by- 20 inch game board, die, and instructions. For two to six players. --Emilie Coulter

This game is an old standard in my family. I can't remember the last family gathering we had where we didn't play a heated game of Aggravation. However, when I went to buy my own game board, this was all I could find. Not only did they make the board mind-numbing and hard to follow, but they changed the spacing on the board. And as for durability, both the board and the marbles are CHEAP! Parker Brothers should really consider going back to the old version.

We got this game for my daughter's 8th birthday, and it has quickly become our favorite game. In some ways, it's like Sorry, although the board is a bit more tortuous to get around. Also, it allows you to play with 6 players (although we've never played with more than 4).

What I like the best is that this game is completely unpredictable. Yes, you could have the best strategy in the world, and be on the verge of winning, but then the roll of the dice can allow somebody who is much further behind come back and unexpectedly win!

The other great things it the portability of this game. We are about to go on vacation, and all you really need is the board, marbles and dice. It's definitely coming with us. We LOVE this game.

Everyone in the world should have this game. I used to play it all the time as a child, but I then lost the marbles. but otherwise it is a very fun game for the whole family

Aggravation:
(1) Is good for the kids.
(2) Is good for developing strategy.
(3) Is good fun for all ages.
But
(4) Is really cheaply made.
(5) Is an old and worn game. It is in serious need of upgrading.

The old game board was better. I am looking for that game board. I guess I'll have to use [...]. They made a mistake with this new funky game board. Still love the game though. Also, I don't like the plastic game peices. I want the old marbles to return!

I have given my points based on the old aggravation game. I wish that I could find the old game which was better made and looked better. If there is such a place that sells this game please notify me ASAP. I will not waste my money on the new and so-called-updated game.

I've been trying to get my kids, 10 and 6, to play more games and stay away from the tv and the computer. Aggravation is definitely a hit and pretty inexpensive.
