Although this book has some dated information it will always be considered an invaluable work to primarily Tomiki branches of Aikido and to serious students of other styles.
This book should not be considered an end source to Aikido, but merely as supplement to a students' sensei's teaching. As the author states, "This book is not meant to sow discord or disagreement between any student and his or her sensei, and all students who read this book should adopt a wholly skeptical attitude toward what is herein presented. If a view given in this book differs from your sensei's, you must go with you sensei's idea."
Comments from many students over the years have stated that the drawings have been very helpful in explaining certain Aikido katas.
The author not only illustrated highly skill technique, he has also shared some of his enlightened philosophy that is at the core of Aikido.
This current ebook format might be improved of these static drawings could be converted into animations and also included the author's own narration of the text. Current standard ebook formats are not sophisticated. Whose to say when the REAL ebook formats start to hit the market.
