This thing really works! It looks a little hokey on my Honda Valkyrie but my rear end really doesn't care about that and frankly if that sort of thing bothers you, you can very easily remove it when you got off you bike. That could be a problem if there are thieves about too. These Airhawk cushions are quite pricey and could be a target. But if you want some extra comfort on long rides, these do the trick. A tip to only BARELY inflate the cushion is true and its very easy to adjust properly. It was delivered on time and in good condition by the vendor at the best price I could find by quite a margin via Amazon.

I have over 750,000 miles in the seat of a bike. I have been riding for 52 years and it is best seat out there for long distance riding. I have tried them all and have been using this one for the last eight years.

I have had my Airhawk for almost 4 years, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I call it my "happy-a$$ pad". I'm 170 lbs and have NO BUTTATALL!! It beats gel "HANDS-DOWN". And I don't just use it on my Electra-glide for long hauls ((Waco Tx. to Boston, Ma & back Fall 2011, 4286 miles)) where I ride 1/2 tank of gas ((appx 100 miles & an hr and a half)) & stop to fill up, get more coffee in my thermal cup with a straw, back on the bike & go..I average 50mph at that pace. Longest legs of trips have been about 500 miles at a time at that pace & I try not to ride after dark.
This cushion performs perfectly by putting "just enough" air in it to keep my butt barely off the seat about 1/8 inch..and when I feel a "hot spot" start all I have to do is shift my weight a little & it's GONE!! I'm a small farm hay farmer & work with a friend and I use this cushion on long 10 hr days in a self propelled hay cutter, or on my John Deer tractor, or in my car on long trips .. and even sitting for long periods in an office chair.
The 'weakness' in the seams ((where the air chambers attach to the base)) is a fact, and a small pinhole can appear where the flexing & most wear occurs. However the included "patch kit" works just fine. ((I've patched 3 holes so far in 4 yrs)) Here's also a hint for the neoprene version which seems to be working really good. "Liquid nails" makes a product called "Perfect Glue"..it's especially for neoprene. I have used this glue applying it around all the seams where the chambers meet the base & where these small pinholes can appear, & it seems to aid in preventing these 'wear holes' by reinforcing the seam with this particular glue.
You will NEVER regret buying and using this cushion.

Bought for a long ride with intermittent breaks. I was excited to get it to avoid an 800 seat replacement on my Harley. Trust me don't. Spend the replacement seat cost. If I could return this worthless item I would in a heartbeat. Nothing works at advertised and don't get sucked in by all the hyperbole you see about it.

I got a used 2010 Honda Elite 110 for commuting to work but wasn't going to risk it till I felt fully comfortable on the scooter. I am 6'1" and found I was bumping my knees on the handlebars, or sitting back on the hump between driver and pillion positions. A custom seat would cost as much as the scooter is worth.

These pads are marketed for motorbikes to extend their range between stops, and bike shops have no idea about scooters. So I stuck with Amazon and this worked perfectly. One strap hooks around the front hinge of the seat and the other has enough slack in it that any cargo still fits fine. Extremely comfortable and easy to install. You can blow more air into the valve at the back by mouth to adjust the ride height, or unscrew and press to let some out. When riding, air flow is restricted going from cell to cell, so its not at all like sitting on a balloon. Very stable.

I put an old towel under the forward part of the seat between the cover and the neoprene, to give a flatter base. Now I sit on the hump and don't feel it and don't bump my knees. If I was in a rainy climate, I'd use something waterproof, like closed cell-packing foam for padding out this step, but its under the neoprene anyway, and I'm not risking California drivers in the rain if I can help it.

No negatives at all, except that they offer a lot of different shapes and it was hard to pick the right one. I think I did, after a bike shop recommended one of the smaller pads.

I love thus cushion for my bike seat, even though it's a bit big for the seat, once it gets adjusted, it's wonderful, you can ride at least for 50-60 km more than your threshold level and that too with out any butt aches or jeans pockets pressing your butt.

Seemed like a good idea at the time but it wasn't for me. I didn't like the mushy feeling and I wasn't able to get as much input from the bike as I did before the air cushion. It works great for a lot of people but wasn't for me.

I own a 2013 Kawasaki Voyager. After purchasing the Air Hawk we took a 1,900 mile ride over 4.5 days. We spent an average of 12 hours per day in the saddle. All I have to say is if my ass could kiss you it would, because it fell in love with the seat. Thanks and now we are planning our next trip about twice that distance. And for the record, I put the stock seat back on after I purchased two big name aftermarket seats.
