I do find that the green plastic coating is a little stiff which can make managing the rope challenging when taking it in and letting it out to keep everything from getting kinked and tangled. I'm not sure that it's really a fixable problem though - really just a characteristic of the float tube.
Downside - coiling the line is far more difficult than the old rope, and some of the shrink rap at the ends of the plastic coating has come loose, but I think a hair dryer could help fix that. Even with the negatives, this is still a 5 star improvement to my old line.
My only "knock" on this rope is that its a pain to coil and it likes to get tangled if not put away properly. The plastic coating near the handle also cracked after a few uses from banging up against my hydrofoil board.
On the wakeboard I could tell a big difference in this rope compared to our old poly E rope. Because this is a true 'no stretch' rope it improved my performance and confidence behind the boat. Cutting away from the wake is smoother and the pop off the wake is more predictable. Over the course of the weekend this rope was used by over a half dozen different people ranging in experience from beginner to expert and ranging in weight from 140 lbs to 210 lbs. The rope preformed well and everyone enjoyed using it. So far I don't see any durability issues and it appears this rope will last many seasons.
The handle width is perfect for everyone who used our rope. The grip did wear down a little by the end of the summer, the black diamonds have rounded out to be more circular.
The rope itself is tiny, yet incredibly strong. It was capable of towing wakeboarders of 250lbs. The actual rope is encased in a green plastic that floats on top of the water, good surprise, so you can see the rope and handle float above the water when a tow-ee falls.
If I needed more ropes, I would buy more of these. They are exceptional.
