The containers themselves are not as study. --- while they are much heavier then glads, hefty and rubber maid, they aren't the quality of lock n lock. My lock n locks will not warp in my dish washer. Some of these have begun to warp. The rectangle ones are more prone to warping.
The lids are definitely not the quality of lock n lock. ----- Most of the containers do not fully seal air tight.. The smaller ones are better. Bigger ones will leak. I submerged them underwater for 5 minutes to test them to see if they will make it in a cooler. 14 of them leaked water.
The hinges on the lids are thiner then lock n lock. I have already snapped off one hinge. My lock n locks has stood the test of five years of abuse and constant use with no breakage.

Right up until you start losing snaps. This is the FIRST DAY that I've used these containers, and it's already broken. Now that I look at the broken snap, it's easy to see that they're only connected to the lid by the tiniest bit of plastic. So I am disappointed and frustrated. I guess they'll work with only three snaps, but how long until the others fall apart as well?
Conclusion: The fragile nature of the snaps means that these likely aren't worth the price. Although I suppose you could still rubber band them shut after the snaps fell off.
I got lucky and snagged this set during a Lightning Deal. With taxes, I paid less than $30. That's a tremendous value for the amount of containers you get. The big container was especially surprising. It is MUCH bigger than it appears in pictures and the possibilities for picnics has me excited. That being said, let me explain why I could only give it 3 stars.
It's my first night with the containers and I have washed them and I start putting some food in them (Meal Prepping for the week). I snap shut one of the containers (one that holds 2 cups) and one of the snaps breaks right off. Mind you, the container was nowhere near being full. Just a clean break. That's just wrong. I didn't have them an hour and already? For the price I paid I didn't expect them to last forever but an hour???
On top of that, one of the larger containers' (4.5 cup w/divider) seals is already loose from the get go. I had to wriggle it back in place and took several attempts before closing and then snapping correctly.
I hate to sound like a whiner and I don't think I am (seriously, go look at my other reviews - I NEVER complain) but it's just unacceptable to have issues out of the box like that. I know Amazon has a great return policy (they were so good about some bras that just didn't fit right) but I will be keeping the containers anyways because the other 36 look to be fine. I just hope they stay that way.

We had a set of these for years and they were the best, purchased from a big box store. Eventually they wore down so we replaced them from an Amazon purchase. Read morePublished 25 days ago by RCP Ferrara
