Editorial Reviews

The band Ako Doma (Be Comfy) was founded in 1993. They started as a trio comprising bass, guitar and percussion, later they expanded with keyboard, saxophone, and flute. The recordings on this CD originate in the period of 1997-1999. In this time, the band devoted themselves exclusively to instrumental creation, but at present they also experiment with singing. The band has been influenced by various styles as jazz, funky, and rock. if the band should be clearly ranked with a style, progressive rock or art rock would probably be the closest. Although this is their first officially released CD, the band has made relatively many recordings. They, however, remained as demos, that spread among fans at concerts and clubs. Despite the fact that in Slovakia, the home of the band, such a music is not much preferred, the group is doing well and addresses quite wide specter of listeners. 1.
