Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi Mushroom) Extract, Curcuma longa (Turmeric) Extract, Cola acuminata (Kola) Extract, Saponified Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter and Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Cocobetaine, Decyl Glucoside, Vanilla planifolia (Vanilla) Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Cinnamomum zeylanicum (Cinnamon) Oil, Syzygium aromaticum (Clove) Oil, Myristica fragrans (Nutmeg) Oil, Zingiber officinale (Ginger) Oil.

Fair Trade Ingredients

Hand Extracted Coconut Oil

Virgin coconut oil is traditionally extracted oil from fresh fruit of the coconut palm, Cocos nucifera. Coconuts have been cultivated in coastal West Africa and been part of the diet and skin care for centuries. Virgin coconut oil is an important food oil, and is applied to skin and hair directly to protect from sun and wind damage. Virgin coconut oil is high in natural antioxidants and protects skin from damaging free-radicals. It also helps keep skin looking firm, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Wild Foraged Reishi Mushroom

Reishi mushroom has been used in many forms for skin, hair and internal health. Alaffia is using Reishi extract from wild foraged Reishi mushrooms from the thick old growth forests of the Pacific Northwest. Reishi has a very high level of polysaccharides that can help the skin hydrate and retain water. Reishi has been known to fight premature aging, and also possesses anti-inflammatory properties and has shown to ease skin issues such as sunburn, rash and insect bites. Its anti-inflammatory properties can also assist with redness and breakouts.

Fair Trade Shea Butter

Shea butter has been used for centuries in Africa and is completely enmeshed within the history and culture of the West African savanna. Shea butter has been used for centuries in Africa for herbal salves, lotions for hair and skin care, and cooking oil. However, it’s protective and emollient properties are most valued for skin care. In recent clinical trials, shea butter was found to help to protect skin against climate and UV aggressions, reduce appearance of wrinkles, soothe irritated and chapped skin, and moisturize the epidermis.

Directions
Apply shower gel to a loofah, scrub or wash cloth and work into a lather. Rinse thoroughly. May also be used as a hand wash.
