I am a first time author and I couldn't be more proud of my book, Trouble in Bay Town. I found that writing this story has only spurred me on to writing another with some of the same characters.
I love reading murder mysteries and courtroom dramas. I literally bought my first Sherlock Holmes book (A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of Four and some short stories from Adventures collected in one book) because I liked the cover. I judged a book by its cover! I thought I'd have a laugh and challenge myself to keep count of the number of times Holmes would say, "Elementary, my dear Watson." I was disappointed when I found none so I bought another. Nothing. Another. Same. I became enthralled and hopelessly hooked when the sum total was zero.
I later discovered Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot. Later still, Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett and Mickey Spillane. (Still working my way through Spillane).
I've enjoyed countless hours immersing myself in this genre and I thought I'd like to join my heroes by writing my own story truly with imitation being the sincerest form of flattery in my heart.
I hope you enjoy my book and if you do, please tell your friends. And if not, well, tell your enemies
