Granted the Map doesn't instantly transport you to where you need to be as some reviews noted, but between the Map, the Notes, the Tasks list, and Hints, the player has ample resources when not knowing what to do and where to go next. I didn't feel I was backtracking too much as it was fairly easy and fast to find my way. It's nice not to have to go find a walkthrough online which I've had to do with too many HOG games. Neither did I need to take notes as I went along which some games almost require.
The graphics are very nice, just how I like them. (I always turn the sounds down as I listen to my own music when on the computer.) There are many locations, lots of things to see and do.
While I didn't totally understand what the authors had in mind in every case, overall it was a great game, and I look forward to playing it again. Recommended!
Cons: Has Map but cannot use it for travel thus making the middle game tedious for travel is difficult and confusing. Don't like the Misc Puzzles but that's just me. I don't like puzzles that you turn one thing and it turns multiple things.
