I took some product pictures I thought might be helpful.
Since these are for use with water, the simplest way to use them is to have a cup of water nearby and dip the pencil in the water and use. Sometimes I will even use my finger to spread the pigment, depending on what I am working on.
Others use these pencils like regular color pencils by shading an area, then using a wet paint brush to give it a smooth texture.
Another way is to take a wet paintbrush and move the pencil across the paintbrush to get some pigment on it, then use the paintbrush on your paper.
Get these. They do everything promised.
My ONLY "complaint" - it isn't even a complaint, just a preference - is that there are not enough variety in pinks and purples for me. Pinks & purples are my favorite colors and I primarily color flowers. I just bought a few Cara D'Ache Supracolor pinks and purples to supplement where I felt there was a lack for my personal preference.
For most people who are less picky than me, I am sure this set will include every color you could ever need and then some! I highly recommend this set without any hesitation! :)
