The book is a little slow to start but worth the wait. The suspense is built up over a period of time but gives the reader a reward of an insight into how the scientific community works. There are many technical/scientific principles introduced. Some of which can be a little technical but most are explained or can be implied from the context. I personally like this because I can look up topics of interest at my leisure. I particularly like the way the image manipulation was handled; just enough information to explain image manipulation without too much techno-babble. All in all a book well worth the reading.
