This time is amazing for junk journals. Instead of using beacon all time now I choose this often because it's so much more affordable. Beacon fabric glue or 3in 1 is about $15 per 8oz bottle unless you buy a 3 pack which then it's around $36-$40 on here. I got 3 of the 16oz bottles of Allene's glue on here for less than one single 8 ounce bottle of fabri tac. And it works wonders on crafts. I usually go to my local Joann now and use a coupon on beacon if I need a bottle of it, and I use it sparingly bc the price is so high.
Yes certain things I still use that for but glue has been getting very pricey since the pandemic. So aleenes is amazing for paper to paper and tacking down the corners of my fabric to my journals before I see them. I used to use the beacon all the time. I just cannot afford to do that. Aleenes isn't given enough credit. Just because you see it at dollar tree doesn't mean it is not fantastic glue! This glue can and will hold permanently, even if not sewing over it. It does not yellow over time. I'm talking five plus years with see through tulle.
One thing I don't recommend this glue for is acetate. It takes a long time to dry for that ; BUT BEACON DOES TOO. I TYPICALLY SEW THIS MATERIAL INTO POCETS AND SHAKERS IN MY HUGGABLEEARTH BOOKS ^-^
You can make amazing things with this aleenes glue. I don't really decopauge with this one, but you definitely could. I love the results of Elmer's, the all purpose glue all, actually for decopauge on napkins and such. It comes out completely matte, not sticky, or tacky, feels perfect. Just my two cents. I've tried a lot of glues for a lot of crafts :)
