Should I write this in the third person? I'm not writing this in the third person.
I was born in upstate New York and started writing in 2001 when I was 15, mostly to amuse my friends with unflattering tales of what they'd be like as adults. Nowadays I jump around between erotica, fantasy, science-fiction, and general fiction. I like writing what other people aren't, and that generally means inclusive stories featuring people of color, well-developed LGBTQ characters, strong women, and avoiding cliches.
I'm an introvert who was raised rural, so many of my stories involve characters disappearing into the middle of nowhere. I think there is great peace in silence and intrigue in two isolated characters figuring out what to do with themselves.
Most of my stories have a lot of dialogue. You'll learn more paying attention to what the characters are (and are not) saying than you will reading my descriptions of anything. I also write a lot about sex.
Outside of this I work as a technical writer and as a freelance journalist covering women's NCAA Division I hockey.
