This sling is great. I have a 15# miniature pinscher who wants to carried more often than not and she loves it! There is plenty of room to spare also. Fleece lined, good quality and comfy for me to wear. The adjustable strap makes it nice too. Highly recommend

SO the other one I ordered was the RETRO PUG pet sling and it was so incredibly durable and comfortable. I actually ended up returning this one because I like theirs so much better! I got past the bulky look of Retro Pug's because it has a sturdy strap with easy adjusting (no ring knots) pockets, a lot more room, and a mesh safety net to keep my pup securely inside. Most importantly my shoulder did not hurt even with my bigger pup in their bag.
-The good: I am very impressed with the overall quality of the bag. It seems very sturdy and will certainly last for years and years to come. My dog is 4.5lbs. and has quite a bit of room in the bag...I could probably fit 2 more identical pups in with him but he doesn't seem to mind the spaciousness as long as there is a blankie for him to prop up on when he wants to see out. Safety? Several reviewers seemed concerned that the dog could jump out but I have no concerns about this because the bottom is soft and would make a difficult starting point for him to jump from. He isn't really an escape artist though so if you have a more rambunctious baby you should consider strapping him/her in with a harness attached the the lead provided OR a strong carabiner. Just make sure not to hook the lead or carabiner to collar...this could strangle the dog if a jump was attempted.
-The bad: The reason I am giving it 3 stars instead of 5 is for my comfort level wearing the bag. The metal loops purposed as adjusters are an odd choice, in my opinion, and seem to always be digging into my shoulder or chest. I am 5'2'' and the ideal spot for the dog to rest is higher than the bag comfortably allows. I wish this was a strap that tightened differently. Perhaps with an adjustable buckle or something more conducive to maintaining comfort on any given area of the body. I will probably end up altering it myself to make it better for my size and will also change out the hardware. My boyfriend, who is 5'10'', however, wore the pup-in-a-bag around the house with no discomfort.
I posted a few pics of my dog, content as can be, in the bag. He really does like it.
My dog is 4.5 lbs. and likes to curl up in a little ball anywhere he can. I carry him tucked in my arm almost everywhere and thought he might not like the bag since he has been spoiled by my carrying him but he really does love it. It is a tad big for him...I could probably fit 2 of him in the bag comfortably. To make it more snug I have been putting a small wubby in with him which he loved to snuggle with.

The fabric had a bit of a chemical-y smell when I first opened the package, but a quick run through the wash took care of that completely - no lingering scent.
Purchased this for my extremely social (read: clingy, needy) cat. He often insists on being held when I'm trying to work, and it's impossible to cradle him as he would like while typing or doing chores. I was looking for something to keep him close and happy while I worked, and this does the trick beautifully - in fact, he's sleeping at my hip as I type!

The reason it has such a low score is because it's uncomfortable to wear. To keep my dog close I have to pull the straps in tight and its had to get a leveled bag without the metal rings digging into your chest shoulder it back.
You also can't wear this on your side. My dog is about 10lb and putting him at my side is hard. The bag will either swing towards the back or front with the dogs weight.
Eventhough keeping the bag infront of me is not a problem if the bag is to low. It rubs against my legs and hits causing the bag to shake and move a lot where my first problem comes in.
It was nice when he was 5lb but now that's he's doubled in size it's to much weight for my shoulder and neck.
I will not recommend.

It was made with comfortable cotton, and soft denim inside. It looks good and is well made.
