Durable and multi-purpose, this can easily be used as a convenient seat or a guitar stand, by placing the guitar in the handy, padded cradle for safekeeping. The stool folds down easily for use in a single motion, locking in place. When not in use, simply fold it flat for easy storage by removing the retractable pin under the seat. Guitar not included.

Unfortunately my last one broke. Collapsed right out from under me at a gig. (Uhm... read the fine print. It did state "Collapsable" So it performed as advertised. haha.
Uhm... but in all honesty, it was my own fault. - 230 lbs. - 9 years, it was abused, and it was getting a little wobbly and showing signs of wear.
So? I bought the same exact stool again. (So it must be good, right? haha)
Buy it. It's a necessity to have for a guitar player. Even if you stand while playing, it gives you a stand, and something to sit on from time to time.
I believe the older version of this "New & Improved" stool was 25". It's now taller than shown in the picture.
It's also poorly-made, rickety, and feels cheap. I wouldn't expect it to last or hold up to any rough play. The guitar-holder forks have no tension and just fall down while playing.
The first clue should have been the picture shown, with the guy who doesn't play guitar or has the weirdest stance ever.
The changes I might make to the stool - foot rest does not raise my leg high enough to keep the guitar from sliding down and away from me while playing. I am 5'8" tall. I have managed to find solutions. The other is I do not like the sharp edges on the front of the chair . . . I am concerned that my expensive guitar may scrape the edge but have been mindful not to let this happen.

I'm in university and my room isn't that large. The stool is great to act as a stand, chair and also a table. I just place a few books on top if not in use, as I tend to get flustered with school work I don't always have time to sit down and play. When I do, it's easy enough to just throw the books on the bed and jam out on the stool.
The foot-rest isn't very comfortable when barefoot, but it is bearable. Thin slippers would easily solve this problem.
I could easily see this being a useful tool for those who play small gigs at parties, community events and etc.
Small note, when I received the product(im in Canada) I got the package with the name "Farley's Stageplayer" instead of "Alfred Stageplayer". Not sure why, must be a legality issue with the name but from inspection and comparison with the online description, there doesn't seem to be a difference between either stands.
