Product Description
Eleven years ago a horrific fire took Alice's family from her and left her mind horrifically scarred. Afterwards she was confined to Rutledge Asylum, where she struggled to confront her demons by slipping further into her fantasy world of Wonderland. Now, after ten years, she has finally secured her release-yet she still bears the heavy psychological burden of that tragic event. With her mind in tatters, she is unable to resolve the fear prompted by her strange memories, dreams, and visions. Perhaps she'll do better in Wonderland. She always has. She travels there, seeking what the “real” world can't provide: security, knowledge, and the truth about the past. But in her absence, Wonderland too has suffered. Something has gone horribly wrong, and now a great evil is descending upon what once was her beautiful refuge. Can Alice save Wonderland-and herself-from the madness that consumes them both?

Gameplay
Alice: Madness Returns like the original 2000 game release for PC that it is a sequel to, is a third-person, single player, action game that incorporates platforming and combat gameplay. Playing as Alice players retreat into Wonderland for comfort from the real world, only to find it in even more shambles than before. Yet this world that exists in Alice's head holds the secrets to her repressed memories and the truth behind the murder of her family. Players must fight their way across this world using a mixture of melee weapons, magic and puzzle-solving and platforming skills to defeat a variety of enemy types, each with particular strengths and weakness. By besting each, players collect in-game currency that can be used to upgrade weapons and skills. In addition to combat players also must explore every corner of this strange world to find clues, messages and potions that help to literally unlock memories that will finally expose the truth behind the madness.

As described, ***** to seller, fast shipping. Clean CD, works perfectly, all included items present.
There is a problem though, for some reason the frames are locked at 30 or 20, but it can be fixed :) Here's how to:
If you have an AMD card like me turn PhysX to Low.
1) Close the game (if you do this with the game opened, no changes will be applied)
2) Go to My Documents/My Games/AliceMadnessReturns/AliceGame/Config and open AliceEngine.ini
3) Search for this line:
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=31
This line sets the max frame rate to 30. Just change that value to 60.
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=60
4) Save and enjoy!

EDIT: got it working after a couple days.
I'm not very far in the game but I already find the game laggy. I don't mind too much, tbh, because the graphics are gorgeous. I haven't seen anything quite like the Wonderland portrayed here (I briefly played the first game, but it wasn't this beautiful looking!). If they had spent as much time into fixing the lag as they did into the graphics, this game would be AMAZING.
I don't find the camera as annoying as the other users do, idk. But I learned quickly to use the arrow keys, not the mouse. You might need to figure the controls until you're comfortable (I took attack off the mouse, set a different key to shrink, etc).
Overall it's a fun game albeit with a lot of issues. But I'm a huge wonderland fan and I'm always looking for terrific spinoffs, and I've been a bit in love with American Mcgee's.

First off, as a PC gamer if you are planning on getting this you almost certainly WILL have to play this with a game controller. To play using a keyboard and mouse is to invite frustration.
There are a few quirks about the game - the dialogue during cut-scenes seems a little...off somehow. There are no pauses between characters as there would be in a natural conversation. Also the conversations just seems...the words make sense but the context leaves me scratching my head on what exactly transpired. Perhaps it's a translation issue? The team developed this (Spicy Horse) are based in Asia I believe.
Voice acting is top notch although I think voice of the Cheshire Cat sounded different compared to the first game. I preferred how he sounded in that game. Also as a minor nitpick - Cat's teeth should be sharp! His look changed as well too.
The bulk of the game is a straight up platformer - lots of running & jumping. A few puzzles, and some mini-games which makes for a pleasant diversion. Combat is a little repetitive but not too bad - once you find the technique for defeating an enemy it's child play. However you often fight multiple enemies which can be quite challenging at times. One has to constantly be on the move evading enemies while whittling down their numbers lest you become overwhelmed.
It's disappointing however that there are no real boss battles to speak of in the game except for the final challenge. Further, there's not that much variety in the enemies either. I've read the book with the concept art for this game and it's sad to see what was left out because of time constraints. What might have been...
The soundtrack (again by Chris Vrenna) isn't as prominent as the previous game either which is a shame. The main draw for the game though is visually it's quite stunning. Quite the thing to show off to others.
Overall - so-so gameplay, great visual & audio production values. It's not great but I enjoyed it being a fan of the source material and of the original which hasn't aged well.
I'd say 3.5 stars if I could, knock off a .5 star if you are coming into the series cold.
