ALIEN ATTACHMENTS is a surprisingly delightful romantic science fiction that I zipped through in one sitting.
Billionaire Ian Cavacent is a Sandarian, and his family was given the rights to mine carnium (a precious element) from Earth while at the same protecting the planet from other alien species who might seek to conquer Earth. Their activity is hidden from the humans, and only special humans called Support Agents (SA) know of them. Dani is a friend of Jared, one of the SA, and she was caught in the crossfire when Torogs (the hostile aliens) came into Jared's bar and pursued them all the way to Ian's villa, which was equipped with weapons and defenses designed to withstand alien invasion.
Unfortunately, the aliens seem to be sporting new technology, and they have no choice but to flee to Sandaria. But is Sandaria safe? What about the attraction between Ian and Dani and the half-formed bond between them?
The worldbuilding is superb. The author built a believable world in Sandaria, just that little bit different from Earth so that readers would be able to imagine it. I especially liked the arena where Dani gets to practice her psi powers, and the sims that they run for training.
I enjoyed the story a lot as I was swept up into a fascinating alien world. However, don't worry, as this is not hardcore science fiction, so it's easy to read, and the concepts are easy to grasp. The author's writing flows and reads well, and her characters, though many, are varied and distinct from one another.

I love this and it was a hard one to put down. I couldn’t stop thinking about when I was forced to put it down and adult for the day. I thought about it all day at work, all night while at home and just couldn’t get it out of my head. Actually, I could read the book again, right now because I loved it that much. I’m sure I can find something new every time I read it.
The world building, character development and threading of the story are superb. I was rewarded with action and adventure and I never wanted it to end. I mentioned my book slump earlier… and I was really happy to discover that the sex was light but very meaningful. Also, it’s not your typical sex scene either. In my opinion, it was on another level… deeper connection due to the their psi. It wasn’t thrown in the story right off the bat either. I got to know the world and characters a bit before I jumped into bed with them.
Dani, the heroine is a total bad ass! She isn’t a whinny baby! She is a smart, tough, doesn’t take crap from anyone, she stands up for herself and she’s a fighter. Ian is the alpha alien who is crushing on Dani pretty hard. BUT… she is human and on his planet, mating/bonding with a human is forbidden. So, to keep Dani away, he acts like a bag of dirty balloon knots!
Overall, I fracking loved this book and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Alien Attachments had everything I needed right now. Great story, characters, romance, connection, action and adventure. Read the full review here... wp.me/p4ybhe-1I5
Ian and Dani struggle to resist each other. Ian because of his fear for his family’s future should he finish the bond started between the two, and Dani because she finds Ian’s behavior offensive and incomprehensible, despite her physical and mental attraction to him. But their efforts are doomed to fail. Dani finds herself attracted to Balastar, a member of the governing council, but she is unable to forget about Ian. Throw in a couple of scary, smelly aliens and a secret kept from Ian and Dani’s unexpected link to the aliens, and the entire read is enjoyable. I found it very easy to get lost in this story and the world Priestley created. I’d highly recommend this story to any reader, not just those who love SciFi.
