About the Author
Efrain Palermo was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 26, 1954 to Puerto Rican parents. He has always been fascinated by space and science from an early age and has pursued those interests throughout his life. When the Mars rover missions began their study of Mars, he became interested in the images stored in NASA’s archives and discovered a correlation between the dark streaks of Mars and water on its surface. He co-authored a paper on the seeps of Mars and presented it to a Mars Society Convention held at Stanford University in 2001. He also hosts the ‘The Mars Anomaly Podcast’ and popularized an unknown formation he discovered on Mars’ moon Phobos that became known as the Monolith of Phobos. Efrain Palermo lives in Portland, Oregon. This is his first novel and volume one of a trilogy, which will be followed by the second book in the series, ‘Tides of Retribution.’

Full of the author's obviously extensive knowledge of astronomy and all things "alien", this story does a great job of tying together pieces of 'real life' Earth history with fascinating alien origin theories...with a touch of spirituality thrown in. It will make you think and, if you're up to the challenge, maybe even question the universe as you think you know it.
Across time and space, this book teleports the reader back in time thousands of years and across the galaxy to met the benevolent Cyn. The Cyn want to develop civilizations and bring peace, order and science to the various inhabited planets in the galaxy. They, however, met the Xxonox who have no interest in using their science for advancement of civilization but the cultivation of riches and power. Get ready for a breathtaking ride across the galaxy in a time machine that will give you everything you look for in an action science fiction novel.
Anybody who doesn't read this book is cheating themselves out of an exciting well told story.
There is science, astronomy, history, love, mysticism, drugs, power, and the fight for the survival of mankind in this book. It's got it all, and it's a great read!
This is an impressive first novel and I am looking forward to the second book of the trilogy.
I enjoyed the book very much and am looking forward to book two of the trilogy.
