CONS: I was confused by the timing. They were only on the ship for a couple of days when they have to return to Earth. But when they get there, her father and sister have already moved with the hero’s help. It seems like more time had passed there and it thoroughly confused me.
This didn’t read like much of a romance. It felt like the story was almost over when the Lexi and Nash meet. I didn't really feel the connection between the two. While the back story was well developed, the romance is just an afterthought.
3 STARS: The story was just okay. Nothing to rave about.
Lexi; she's a good example of what misplaced hate can do to people, can blind people. But aside from that I loved that she was a spitfire though too stubborn for her own good. Her fierce loyalty for her family was admiral I like to think she now do the same for her mate.
Nash; loyal, warrior and patient he needed that. I liked him he wasn't so alpha but you could tell he take what he wanted if need be. Also seven feet aliens tend to be intimidating.
Though the book was quick with the danger whizzing by quickly, there was enough of it to satisfy and a steamy scene to bring it all together. Worth it.
Scarlett Grove created a very nice story I like the fact that she did the draconians in a way where yes they were superior but they also we're aware that they made mistakes Nobody's Perfect although they are still as Superior race because they can shape-shift into dragons.
Nas his love for is fated mate is is challenging loving and daring you can see that he really loves her and waiting patiently the new spin on this was when he came on her body and rubbed it in and it helped her to love him that was a new spent I wasn't expecting that to be in the book, but okay we understand the concept the idea was great. Super Craft I think whoever chooses this book will enjoy it because of the surprises in it
Commander Nash was almost cartoonish to me especially one particular scene that I can't mention without revealing spoilers. It has to do with their first sexual encounter. That said, I did like him. I appreciated that he was willing to think outside the box of tradition. Still, I feel he wasn't quite as developed as Lexi was.
I enjoyed the story enough to read the boxset which is has books 1-5.
