Editorial Reviews
Review
"I highly recommend this remarkable, deeply thought-provoking, well-written and actually unique book. The evidence and analysis presented on DMT and its role as a reality modulator will -- literally -- blow your mind."
Graham Hancock, author of Fingerprints of the Gods, and of Supernatural; Meetings with the Ancient Teachers of Mankind.
"It is no exaggeration to claim that the book is a work of art: a hard, heavy block full of Gallimore's own twentieth-century EGA-like retro block graphics, interweaving pixelated fonts that combine to express a pixel-like pixie reality. The fact alone that a computational neurobiologist also has the skill of a professional graphic designer and typesetter is indicative of the masterful mind of this Japan-based Englishman."
Peter Sjostedt-H, author of Noumenautics: Metaphysics - Meta-Ethics - Psychedelics, and of Neo-Nihilism: The Philosophy of Power

One thing, however, is that I kind of disagree with the final several sentences of the book. Such a procedure is hardly necessary -- we already exist on that plane of existence. RIGHT. NOW. We don't have to be "reconstructed there," we are already there. The frame of reference we are experiencing on Earth is not something to be escaped from, it is what we came here to experience. We are not supposed to live in the DMT reality as humans, we live in the DMT reality as the things we really are. And those things are doing just fine. There is nothing lost to reclaim.
Other than that difference of perspective, I must say, the book is a masterpiece.
OK, just finished the book and it is interesting but the final hypothesis.. our brains can be uploaded to a higher dimensional reality... I would like to see some scientific work showing this is a possibility and not just a wild fantasy.

The book is just stunning, with a coherent digital pixel-aesthetic running throughout its entirety. I have not yet finished reading it, so I will update this review upon completion, but so far, it has been wonderful. The visuals greatly enhance the reading experience. I cannot wait to fully bite into the book and feast on its contents!
As soon as I got this book I knew I was going to cherish it. The book certainly encapsulates a very special aspect of the zeitgeist of this age. I'm going to give it another read, it gets pretty deep and is chock full of technical jargon. Nothing too heavy though, I studied physics in school so I'm more than happy to read a psychonaut waxing philosophical and scientific. I was thoroughly impressed with the ideas presented in this book. It's another step in the Escher-staircase of psychonaut theory and one of the best I've read.
There were some very surreal parts that involved things happening to me that coincided EXTREMELY strangely with what I would then read in the book. Synchronicity doesn't feel like it does it justice - that intense. I felt like the artist of the great game definitely had a grin at my expense while reading this. Truly profound. That's the thing I always found most mystifying about DMT - the inexplicable synchronous events that happen BEFORE the encounter, that only make sense after a breakthrough. A mystifying precursor to the psychedelic experience of this profound chemical. I know that makes sense to the people with the right kind of eyes.

While I'm pretty happy with the first two thirds of the book, the last part seemed quite a stretch to entertain for a non-fiction book. Likening DMT to an alien technology embedded in our reality, and an intelligence test for evolved beings to communicate and integrate a transdimensional hypergrid is beyond what I'm willing to believe with the arguments given. At this point the author seems to ignore some basic logic premises such as correlation doesn't imply causation. An example of this line of though can be found by suggesting that since foetus have higher levels of DMT in their brain that would explain the "familiarity" experienced during a DMT trip and why the machine elves welcome you back to the DMT world with a celebratory uproar.
Apart from the less positive points above, I still recommend the reading. I understand that the path taken near the end of the book might appeal to the more speculative kind of audience. Also, it's good to be able to read deviations from mainstream science which consistently fail to explain even the most basic premises about what is consciousness and reality at its core.
Regarding the physical construction of the book (this review is of the hardcover version), it is nicely printed on thick pages. I wish the font was more clear though it adds to the retro feel of the illustrations, resembling the output from old dot matrix printers. The book is filled throughout with interesting and inspiring illustrations of the themes covered. My only gripe is that for a hardcover I'd expect the folios to be sewn together instead of being just glued to a softcover that is attached to the cover.
In a nutshell, it's not perfect but good nonetheless. I'm honestly interested in finding out how the author view of the subject matter will change a few years down the line, hopefuly with more DMT scientific experiments under his belt. So, grab a copy and enjoy the ride!
However, I just can't read it - as in, read it! I would normally finish a title such as this in 3 days to a week - 20 days after purchase, I am on about page 65.
I'm looking at it now, wanting to carry on, but the 'clever' 1980s Sinclair font, the blue squiggles, the white on black font...
You can read this is in afternoon sun, if your eyes are feeling up to it, however, otherwise it is simply a struggle.
I could only advise the Kindle edition - perhaps it is possible to read?
As I finish this review, AIT is looking at me.
I'd love to read it.
If only I could see the text...
To the good Dr Gallimore marvelous text, most enlightening ideas.
To future reader don't forget your and, or, not, exclusive or's. If you read Jung read this. Will get 2nd and 3rd read.
