Top Customer Reviews
Some of the more laughable entries (w/ spoilers):
Reclamation - Hicks tracks his missing wife to a Xenomorph nest, meaning he had encountered them before the film.
Blowback & Exterminators - Both narrated by Dietrich inconsistently, both feature characters from the film Aliens battling other extraterrestrial type creatures, further cheapening events in the film.
Dark Mother - Narrated from Burke's point of view. We learn that he was a bed wetter, grew up rich, and that his mother brought in 82% of the family income as a prostitute.
Episode 22 - The transcription of a gun show detailing the history of the M41A Pulse Rifle, where we learn that the gun was designed by a guy who was running a barbecue food truck during the day and tinkering in his workshop at night.
Darkness Falls - Aliens mixed with centipedes.
I have to concur with a previous reviewer, that one of the stories is horribly edited to the point it actually contains notes from the author about having to fix the sections, and I can't understand how something that sloppy made it past.
The stories are fairly interesting, even if some are predictable, and they're interesting enough.
Most do fall into the trope of evil corporations, but that's standard for the Alien universe.
If you're a fan of the universe and the works in it, you'll like the stories. If the Alien series never interested you, then I'd say skip it.
Will I buy this book? Not sure. I did enjoy it for the most part.
