"All Night Passion" - This is a good single. It's very dancey and 80s club friendly. I REALLY love Alisha's voice on this song because her vocal runs are great! Her voice really flys on this song!
"Stargazing" - One of my personal favorites. Good poppy, dance song. I love the chorus : "While I'm waiting I'll be stargazing / On a lonely night / So lonely / Wish you were holding me tight" It's got a great melody to it and the lyrics are cool.
"Baby Talk" - LOVE this one! It hit #1 on the Dance charts for a reason! Classic Alisha song. Great club song! Still awesome to listen to today! I know alot of people who compare this track to a Madonna-style track. So if you like Madonna's 80s song, you'll love this one!
"Too Turned On" - MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! Awesome awesome song! Alisha's vocals are a little rougher on this song, and I think it's a great song for her voice! Shows good vocal power on this song too! I love how her voice sounds on the key change (in the last sung chorus).
"Boys Will Be Boys" - Cute little song. Not really clubby, just kind of a obscure album-cut. It's a bit older sounding. The chorus is catchy!
"One Little Lie" - This is a good, mellower song from Alisha. I don't think the album would have been complete without it. This song was originally sung by Kirsty MacColl :)

Highlights include "One Little Lie", co-penned by the late, great Kirsty MacCall and Simon Climie (who would later have a hit of his own titled "Love Changes (Everything)" with his group Climie Fisher ) and the reggae-tinged "Stargazing" for which the album version is compromised for the remix on this CD.
The album's official first single, "Baby Talk", with its "Into The Groove" inspired bass-line, was a clash between identity and acceptance for Alisha, who was often compared to a post "Lucky Star" / pre "Like A Virgin" Madonna early on, for which the latter ruled over. By the time "Baby Talk" was released, Madonna was on Level 2 of her journey to icon status and Alisha would later be deemed one of the first in a long line of Madonna Wannabes. Coincidentally, Shep Pettibone, who did both the album mix (for those of us who own the vinyl copy) and remix of "Baby Talk" would later remix Madonna's "Into the Groove" for her 1987 dance compilation, "You Can Dance", as well as co-produce 1992's "Erotica" album.Read more ›
Every track on this album is catchy, delivered with "passion" and is guaranteed to make you dance your a** off! After the release of ALISHA's debut album, it was interesting to see the sudden crop of young artists coming out of the woodworks, such as Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, and now Britney Spears, Mandy Moore and Christina Aguilera. And I'd bet my bottom dollar that MARIAH CAREY listened to Alisha's album as a teenager until the vinyl got warped! Now that it's on CD, ALISHA's debut album can be enjoyed forever by future generations to come. I more than highly recommend this cd for everyone...even rock fans. In the 80s everyone I knew had ALISHA's album, now it's your turn! It's a must-have!

A shame the CD didn't include the other 12 inch versions after all these years.
This may have been her only album. Big club success. Read more
