I ordered this movie recently and it came in all formats, 4k, 3D blu ray, Blu ray, etc..
I found the movie to be excellent entertainment. I almost missed out on this if it wasn't for my recent purchase of ViewSonic PX701-4K projector and Panasonic Streaming 4K Blu Ray Player which inspired me to buy this movie to see the capabilities of my new setup. Since my new projector and Blu-ray player is also 3d capable, I purchased AWOL VISION DLP Link 3D Glasses also. Let me tell you, as impressive as this is in 4K it doesn't measure up to watching it in 3d. In 3D this is amazing, the depth and realism is just something to experience. (Why are not all movies made this way). I have seen Good 3D in theaters (Avatar) but watching 3d at home on a projector is a better experience (as long as you don't skimp on good 3D glasses). At home I experienced No eye strain at all (while I had some in theaters). And the 3D puts you inside the movie, like you are really there. I can't, for the life of me, understand why anyone would want to see this in any other format that 3D. Of course, not all movies are this good in 3D, but I have seen some recently that are a must in 3d. Guardians of the Galaxy vol 1-2 are two examples. Watching these movies in 3D was like watching them for the first time. So much is lost in the 2K format that it's hard to explain. See it in 3D and you'll see. Not to mention, for some reason the 3D version seemed to be higher resolution than the 4k version. I know technically it is not, but to the eye (maybe because its realism) it seems smother and higher quality. Upscaling of the projector plus realism of 3D could have something to do with it.

Best James Cameron/Robert Rodriguez movie *ever*!!

This was well worth the wait to finally come out on DVD/Blu-Ray. One of the BEST Sci-fi action flicks I've ever seen, hands down. I live in a remote area where the nearest theater is 56 miles away and they didn't even show this movie, to my knowledge. Despite all the flak from the so-called 'critics', this movie outshines Captain Marvel, and the new Star Wars episode by a long shot! Even though Alita's character is completely CGI throughout the film, the level of detail and acting was off the charts. Rosa Salazar was the perfect choice to play the lead role in this dystopian future thriller. The ending most definitely leaves this open for not just one, but many sequels!
