What a great design concept!! This is a super light weight chair with back support! It only sits 8" off the ground and does taking getting use to for getting in & out of it! Also sitting in it. Finding out what works best for you position and all. As you can see in the short video, the legs are a little wobbly. They are more beefy than other chairs in this style by other companies, but the wobbly legs concern me as other have stated their chairs have broken quickly. The chair boasts a 250# weight limit and I'm not even half that, but do take care in location of chair and use care when sitting in it as well. It looks a little like a tinker toy construction, and if they increased the ball size a bit and just a bit more to the legs, this would probably be a longer lasting and durable chair. They did add the very nice rubber tips on the legs, thick and rugged to keep dirt, mud and other junk out of the poles, good thinking :)

Don't get me wrong, I really love this chair, it is very comfortable for a rip stop design. And the quick set up thanks to the tent pole construction and ease of storage and transport is awesome! I would also like to see some lighter colors available for the hotter 90+ months, as dark colors are HOT on the skin. The mesh does provided some ventilation on a breezy day. I included some photo's as well. It also packs back up into bag easily.

UPDATE: spoke to rep at Alite who told me to tighten up the rope that runs thru the frame for each of the legs. Even after that the legs were still wobbly. Like the circumference of the legs were a few micrometers off, vs. the inner circumference of the frame to where legs are inserted.

I love this chair! It is so light and small, so easy to carry and stow away while you are hiking or walking to your destination. Seriously, I think this chair is lighter than my filled water bottle. Because it is so light, you would think there would be a downside but I haven't found one yet. It is super comfortable and feels sturdy despite it being so light. Ingenious design with the tent poles that take about 10 seconds to put together and voila...you have your chair all set to sit comfortably in. This has become my new beach, camping, travel, and backyard chair. Love it!

This product is great for travel. At the end of the day it's great to kick back and relax. Leaning yourself up against a tree or a rock is
not going to be comfortable for very long. This chair is compact and sturdy. Small enough to take anywhere; I've use it for hiking
and for motorcycle camping. Hours of hiking or a long day driving a motorcycle and it feels sooooo good to sit and stretch out your legs.

The fabric is durable and the workmanship is first rate. It unfolds in just a couple seconds - packs back up quickly.
The aluminum legs fold up small and seem to be holding up my 165 pound frame just fine. If I'm careful I should get years of use
out of this chair. It won't replace the bigger chair I carry for car camping - but when I need to save space and weight the Mantis is the best way to go - I like my crazy creek chair - this is better.

Most comfortable small chair I have ever sat in. However I weigh 240 lbs. And 3 days into using my chair at Bonnaroo I turned my head around in the chair and one of the metal legs snapped at the joint. But now it's broken.
