I haven't finished this yet but I'm learning a lot. One thing you must keep in mind is that it was written by a doctor who uses a lot of medical terms so look up those words you don't comprehend. If you are totally fascinated by how the human body works, you'll Love this book! Be assured that she knows what she is talking about. Also, her ability to meld East and West medicine is right in line with other physicians of integrated medicine. Enjoy this!

Great price but I found the writing style difficult to follow. Content is not well organized and sometimes repetitious, but the author is writing from the heart. I was able to get a few new ideas and recipes, so probably worth the .99.

I have been on the Holistic and healthy eating lifestyle for many years. In the effort to obtain a more alkaline balance to my diet I selected this and another book for support. For the most part her concepts and ideas are on target. I found this book very disappointing for the following reasons:

The book is poorly laid out. It does not do justice to the quality of the information she is attempting to present.
There is not a glossary. So trying to find something, especially a recipe is a challenge.
Several of the recipes are poorly written and difficult to follow. The ones I have chosen, I have rewritten and adapted for my own use.

My bottom line is this was not a good value for me. I would highly recommend the Eating the Alkaline Way by Natasha Corrett and Vicki Edgson ISBN: 978-1-4549-0887-6 also available here at Amazon. It is very well written. Beautiful illustrations. Fabulous recipes. Have tried most all of them. User friendly and easy to follow.

This book is about keeping the body healthy through exercising, meditating, proper breathing and eating the right food. It mention yoga, organic food, good posture and proper breathing. it tells how different food, sugar and fats effects the body. it has recipes in the last chapter of the book. the book has good information, but it's not a joyful book to read. it was hard for me to get into the book because so much of the writing was about mind, body and spirit. i skipped throught a lot of it.

Enjoyed reading and learning about all the areas I wanted to read and learn about in one book. Nice that the author is credentialed in nutrition, physical therapy, yoga, Pilates, and shares my faith. Can't wait for the yoqilates DVD to come out! Working on my posture more now too!
