So what makes THIS book so special?
ALL ABOUT BOND is a gorgeous coffee table book fully loaded with many behind-the scenes photos from several of the earlier Bond films. We get to see Terry O'Neill's incredible and extremely rare photos of Sean Connery clowning around on the sets of both GOLDFINGER and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER. George Lazenby and Jill St. John relaxing together by poolside. Roger Moore from LIVE AND LET DIE. And David Niven, Peter Sellers and Ursula Andress from the original Bond 1967 spoof, CASINO ROYALE.
Being the huge Bond Fan/Collector that I am, I was amazed at the large number of photos in this book which I had never seen before in any format.
Along with the beautiful photos, there are also contributions from a number of former Bond people (including Honor Blackman, Joanna Lumley, Shirley Eaton, Britt Ekland, Maryam d'Abo & Sir Ken Adam) who talk about their indiviual experiences in the world of 007.
This is a Fascinating book which no long-time Bond fan/collector should be without.
The Connery photos deal mostly with Goldfinger and Diamonds Are Forever while Live And Let Die makes up the majority of the Moore pics. As befits a book on Bond, there are essays from various Bond Girls including Shirley Eaton, Britt Ekland and Honor Blackman. Godfrey Smith starts the book right with a very personal look at Ian Fleming and his career. Definitely worth the price of admission.
