I've used Bar Keeper's Friend for years on my All Clad cookware, per All Clad's own recommendation 19 years ago. I received the All Clad Cookware Cleaner today, and after dinner, used the All Clad Cleaner on two pans and the Bar Keeper's Friend on the other two.

What I found was absolutely no difference in performance whatsoever. In fact, both products smell identical as well . . .leaving me with the distinct impression, perhaps Bar Keeper's Friend makes this product for All Clad?

I will say, the plastic container, with it's close top lid is definitely a an improvement over the cardboard container with open top on Bar Keeper's Friend. And as luck would have it, the AC container includes a screw top lid.

So . . .since the cleaner works exactly the same as Bar Keeper's Friend at twice the price . . .I'll keep the All Clad Cleaner bottle and refill with Bar Keeper's Friend when it's empty.

Still a great product and improved container . . .minus one star for the high price tag.

A must have for stainless steel pots and pans!

I use this when I need a really good clean on my stainless steel pots and pans. I liked the look of the stainless and the presentation for the rank. However I hate the extra effort it takes to actually clean them. When I can not get them clean enough within dishwasher or by hand I use the all clad. Just a little bit of water, sprinkle in some all clad and start scrubbing. I will also use this from time to time on all the stainless just to shine it up and make look nicer. When using this product however, do keep in mind that after you rinse the pan, do not just put item in the strainer to air dry. If you do this a white film will be present. Ensure you rinse item completely and use a paper towel to wipe off remaining water starting on inside of item then working to the outer surface. The pots and pans look real good after using this. Another pointer is to not use a regular soft sponge. Use a more rouged sponge or special sponger that will not scratch the pots and pans, but have a good enough grit to clean the surface really good.

I purchased this because I have had All Clad pans for 25+ years and still love them. I figured All Clad would make a great product for cleaning their pans. WRONG. It does not work. Even minor stuck on food required mammoth elbow grease. I then purchased Bartenders Friend and with the same non scratch pad it worked amazingly well. I returned this product to Amazon, which is one of the reasons I love them is that they and their merchants stand behind their products.

It worked for grime and discoloration on my 10yo stainless pots and pans

I’m super happy with this product! It not only allowed me to scrape grime that was stuck to the bottom of the pan for years, it also took care of the heat discoloration. My other pots had much more discoloration from heat and it took care if it.

I had to use a pan scraper on the grime, and I had to let the paste soak on the bottom of the pan for a few minutes and rub it with the sponge lightly to work out the discoloration. I would say I spent no more than 30 min on this single pan, and the majority of that time was spent scraping.

Works Great On All Metal Surfaces

Not only does this work well on pots and pans, but this is a great option for polishing up bathroom fixtures (as long as they don't have a matte finish!) and even worked well at removing a deep scratch on a stainless steel watch band.

This product, with sufficient elbow grease and time, can take things to a mirror shine. In the attached photo, I used a small buffing wheel on a power drill and took it to the inside of some 20-year old metal cookware that was heavily scratched from years of use. While there are still some scratches, it has a mirror shine now, which is properly shocking!

This works comparably to Barkeeper's Friend, but the container is FAR superior. The tight seal of the cap prevents it from clumping. I would recommend this for that feature alone.

Absolutely perfect!!!! What to say? Follow directions on the package - sprinkle powder little water make paste scrub in circular motions . Give a good rinse . I haven’t use any special scrub . I used that blue sponge what I used before for other dishes... what happened to my pan ? I just cooked potatoes and pan got discolored- after 1st use of my all clad pan. This cleaner does really amazing job and I’ll keep continue to buy more for future. Thx a lot . Pan got a look as new again ! Delivery fast - prime amazon.

Boiling baking soda works for me but I ran out of it. I was wondering whether this product can be more effective so I purchased it.

IT WORKS.

Couple observations:

1. Hot pan & water.
Without hot pan and hot water, the same amount of powder is not vey effective. Once the pan and the water is hot, its getting more effective.

2. I prefer put powder on the wet sponge. It seems that this way is more effective than adding it to the pan with water.
