Cooking with Stainless Steel Cookware
All-Clad stainless steel cookware is designed to distribute heat quickly and evenly, preventing hot spots and sticking. Preheat your cooktop on low to moderate heat--high heat should only be used for boiling.
After years of perfecting the bonding process, company founder John Ulam established All-Clad Metalcrafters in 1971 and began producing professional-quality bonded cookware for working chefs and avid home cooks. The brand flourished as early adopters discovered the cookware's extraordinary properties and exemplary cooking performance.
Easy-grip loop handles provide stable lifting.

Top customer reviews
My one complaint is how high up the pasta basket sits in the pot. You have to put several inches of water in the pot before you even hit the bottom of the pasta strainer.
It may lack some of the fitness and perfection of All-Clad's more expensive products, but for the ways I will be using it that won't matter as much. Yes, most of the use I foresee involves soups or boiling water. While just about any pot could do these tasks, having functional and perfectly fitting inserts inside a sturdy, easy to clean pot makes this set a bargain for me.
The durability of this thing looks like it will be around forever, which i'm very happy about!
The small bits that could cloud the soup actually tend to stick to the pot and they come out as well. It all cleans up really easily and the soup is terrific.
I use the smaller insert for pasta in a smaller pot as I never make more than one pound at a time. I use this pot weekly.
Or maybe you will. What do I know? You might be one of those people who sends their dinner back at a restaurant for no real good reason.
PS, they spit on your dinner when you do that. Always treat your waitstaff with care.
Cleaning is a snap. Being stainless steel, the surface is very smooth and hard. If something does manage to get stuck, I just put water and liquid soap in the pot, and boil it for 5 minutes. Comes right out.
Yes, they are expensive at first, but when you figure all the years they're going to last, cost per year is cheap. I honestly figure these pots and pans will be in the family long after I'm gone, passed on to my daughter, and probably to hers later. That makes them very cheap.
