Wound up buying a Williams Sonoma brand saucepan that works great and has a spout

While the material is induction compatible, sadly this lovely little pot was too small to work on either our Duxtop Portable Induction Hot Plate or our new Bosch induction cooktop. It is not user error: our larger pots and pans work fine. Looks like the same fine construction you'd expect from All Clad, but unfortunately it's worthless for us.

I bought this little pot to make a cup of hot chocolate on those cool mornings. It’s perfect for that. Heavy duty, durable, easy to clean and store (I hang it on a magnetic hook on the side of the fridge when not in use). If it came with a lid, I would like it better, but the milk heats quickly and I watch it while heating anyway to make sure there is no boil over. A lid would just help with that bit of stuff that can build up on uncovered milk that is being heated. Great for reheating a small single serving of about anything, besides milk, which is where a lid could be useful to hold in moisture.

Who Knew I Could Love a Saucepan So Much!

The quality of this butter warmer is top notch and it holds slightly over 8 ounces when full. Perfect for boiling water for a cup of hot chocolate, for example.

I've used it to warm butter and wing sauce, reheat leftovers, and boil water several times a week. It's super easy to clean and didn't discolor when reheating pasta sauce in it.

The one thing that takes some getting used to is that the pan doesn't have a spout which makes pouring out of it tricky. You'll soon learn to pour over the sink, but beware that if you're pouring water into a cup, chances are that some will spill until you get used to it. I've been using my pan regularly for a while and still make a mess every time I pour water. Not a big deal because it is usually water and I pour over the sink, but know that it could get messy.

Amazingly, it also holds a 16oz can of whatever you might like to gently heat up. Its capacity surprized me. I like to use the smallest pan that works for any cooking and this one surprized me.

However, one star deduction for saying that the pot comes with a lid. I'm willing to pay the price for quality, but there comes a point when enough is enough.
