Incredibly written by Yuri Elkaim , former soccer player who turned out to be a renowned fitness expert and a nutritionist. This book is written straight to the point where not a single line is wasted. The All Day Energy Diet talks about the loss of our understanding and importance of energy. We come across the detailing of Elkaim's own health complications and his desire to help people to be more fit.
The main concept of the book is the rediscovering of basic fundamental strategies to maintain your body energy.
The book concentrates on 7 key metabolism processes that must be kept in the priority list in order to regain the lost vitality of youth. Discussing on how feeling energetic is the secret of a great health, as well as feeling completely alive. He provides a list of scientifically based insight for not only that pulls our energy down but also applicative techniques for correcting their imbalances. He even tells us on how sticking to alkalizing diet can drive in so much energy in our body. Elkaim not only advices us about maintaining our energy diet and his personalised experience regarding some food products but he even utilises biologically based theories that convince the readers. He even provides us useful tests that we need to be having performed, as well as home procedures that you can do it yourself to see where you lie on the health spectrum.
This is really one of the most sincere health and nutrition books and it was a complete pleasure reading it. Yuri Elkaim has written this book with such a genuine and altruistic way. Sharing his own health struggle makes it even more interesting.
The All Day Energy Diet tackles my main issue head on -- ENERGY -- while fixing all the other issues as well, by learning basic principles of good health and eating habits that are easy to implement. This is a great resource that has all the fundamentals of healthy eating, with easy explanations why to choose this way of living, all in one guide that is simple to follow.
As well as food and diet, it also contains good advice on exercising, reducing stress, breathing, meditation and living a happy, healthy life which all apply to healing your body and having more energy.
I also subscribe to Yuri's newsletter and get lots of great tips from those and recipes on a weekly basis.
Definitely worth the money if you want to find a simple, practical solution to energy loss, and to start living a healthier lifestyle that feeds your body and fuels your energy levels in the most natural way possible.
I can feel this author's passion through every page. What a great effort to share with those who choose to take their health in their own hands and not leave it up to others. He's a great guide.
Having read first 80 pages (in one reading) and so far its very similar and very good. I was not a biology or chemistry major in college but could understand the language and it made sense. The introduction about the author's personal medical problems really shows our fragility and draws you in. The principles are so simple it kind of makes me mad why the medical community and the media has it so wrong for so long. Look up Time magazine article "Eat Butter" (June 2014)
I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book and following the recipes and advice. I would have given 5 stars but decided to give 4 because I thought it would have more technical info. I would recommend getting both books and also check out "My Crazy Sexy Diet" by Chis Carr and check out "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" on netflix. Cheers!
