"Besides the extra steamy love scenes, ALL JACKED UP is filled with snappy dialogue and lots of tenderness and emotion. This was definitely a book to read through in one night, because it was just too good to put down."
"The characters of Keely and Jack are rich and nicely developed, the plot fast moving, the sex blistering hot...I can safely say that All Jacked Up is now my new favorite in a series filled with keeper books..."
--Literary Nymphs Reviews
"This is one sexually explosive adventure you don't want to miss...Jack and Keely's story is another great addition to this series and one that I will continue to re-read as more of the Rough Riders books are released..."
--The Romance Studio
"I was thoroughly entertained by their verbal sparring and witty banter. They're a well matched pair, with electric chemistry and as much as they try to fight against it, by professing to hate each other, it's not long before "hate" turns into passion in this wonderful story..."
--Fallen Angels Reviews
"Ahhh....Another winner penned by Lorelei James...Jack and Keely are in for a wild ride trying to convince their families and friends that they love each other... This was another great book that you should definitely pick up!"
--Two Lips Reviews
"The sex sizzled and burnt up the sheets, but it was the rest of the story that brought it all together and made this such a compelling story to read. Ms James has definitely hit another home run with this book..."

I am a sucker for the “brother best friend” story. I also love a good enemies to lovers tale. This story told BOTH! It was hot, funny and a bit emotional. Exactly what I love and have come to expect from Lorelei James’ work.
Jack, who Keely calls GQ for his buttoned up, always in a suit handsome self, is more than he reveals to his business partners. Like many businessmen with tunnel vision focused on what they identify as success, he hasn't opened his eyes to see more than work since his partnership and engagement disintegrated a few years earlier.
Keely, aka Cowgirl, is much more than the fun-loving, wild child of her teen years. Keely needs Jack's help with the renovation of the historical building and refit to become her new therapy and medical clinic. She dosesn't really like him but she needs him. Fortunately for her, Jack needs her as well, to portray to the world that he is a well-balanced, family man but oh she drives him crazy! This can never work! You can count on this author to deliver an HEA that is as sexy as you can tolerate without steam coming from your book or reading device.
Keely grew up on a ranch in Wyoming. She wears cowboy clothes, spends time with her horse, drives a pick-up truck, drinks beer, and is in a dart throwing league. She is a physical therapist who recently bought a building. She wants to rehab it and open a medical center. Because it's a historic landmark, she is required to hire an architect specializing in restoration. Jack is the only one available in the area. She hates Jack.
Jack wants the job overseeing a large restoration project in Utah, but the owners have rigid morality issues. They won't hire a bachelor. When Keely asks him to oversee her project, he agrees only if she'll pretend to be his fiancé to help him get the Utah job. She reluctantly agrees. Now they have to act like they love each other and learn about each other.
I loved their banter as they were getting to know each other. For example when Keely is guessing what Jack's favorite movies are, she says "Jackass" and "The Jerk." She's a ranch girl and sees Jack as the metrosexual type. She calls him GQ. It was entertaining. I was pleased when the author used a good reason to separate them later instead of inaccurate assumptions (which are too frequently used). In general I'd say it's a pretty good story. The main purpose of course is sex, and those scenes are hot and frequent. They are explicit and include rear door activity. If that's what you're looking for, go for it.
If I might suggest: it would have been nice to see some revenge against Martine, she was despicable.
Story length: 265 pages. Swearing language: strong, including religious swear words. Sexual language: strong/erotic. Number of sex scenes: 15. Approximate number of sex scene pages: 30. Setting: current day Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah. Copyright: 2010. Genre: erotic contemporary western romance.
Jack decides he needs something from Keely too. What transpires is a great hate-turned-to-love story! When I recently re-read this book I guess I came at it from a different perspective than in my previous reads because I feel in love with Jack even more than I had in the past.
Jack Donohue is close to getting a project in Milford,Utah that could make his career soar. But there is one little problem, he isn't married. So when he goes to his appointment with Keely, he sees an opportunity that could them both out. He makes a deal with her. He will help Keely with her building if she becomes his fake fiance to convince the committee in Milford,MI to give him the job.
Things get hot and heavy between as time goes on, and the relationship starts to turn real for the both of them.
I absolutely loved All Jacked Up, it was hot, sexy, passionate, and freaking hilarious.
I especially loved it when not one but all her brothers took Jack aside one by one and basically said if he hurts Keely, they will gut him. Gotta love the McKay bros

Jack and Keely strike up a bargain where Jack will sign of keely's restoration project if she pretends to be Jack bride so he can win a huge Milford restoration project but the owner are very traditional and have high moral standards.
Time goes by and they realise there's more to their relationship then fighting and very hot sex.
I love how the whole family is involved in this book and you really get to see the real Keely 'wild child" McKay and her family have a eureka moment about the new older wiser adult Keely.
You only have really specific idea about Jack or jackass as Keely calls him.
There are a lot of selfish and eye opening moments for Jack and how he see himself, how others see him and how that affects his actions.
Jack and Keely hate each other - but as we all know there is a very fine line between love and hate!
Keely needs help from Jack on a project, Jack will help Keely but on one condition only. She must pretend to be his fiancé.
If Keely ever gets tired of Jack - just send him onto me!
I loved the story of 2 people re-discovering their inner self and in the process fall in love with the last person they ever expected to.
Am starting to read the next Rough Rider tomorrow!
It actually has a story, good pace, snappy dialogue (yes the main characters spar verbally as well as have great sex) and the obligatory happy ending.
If you want another good Lorelei James' read (not Rough Riders)then try Dirty Deeds.
