"Vincent does a nice job of balancing all the various species of character-human, incubus, bean sidhe (banshee), reaper, hellion-with dollops of humor and enough backstory to keep readers new to the series engaged, without dousing the pace for those already in the know." -- Booklist on IF I DIE
About the Author
New York Times bestselling author Rachel Vincent loves good chocolate, comfortable jeans, and serial commas. She’s older than she looks and younger than she feels, but is convinced that for every day she spends writing, one more day will be added to her lifespan. Now absorbed in the dark, tangled loyalties of her UNBOUND world, as well as the travails of a teenage banshee in her SOUL SCREAMERS world, Rachel can be found online at www.rachelvincent.com or urbanfantasy.blogspot.com.

No matter how hard she fights and no matter how great the risk to herself, Kaylee Cavanaugh has not been able to defeat the hellion that wants her soul. With each loss hitting closer to home, Kaylee is not sure how many more people she cares about she can bear to lose, especially knowing that she's the one Avari really wants.
And when he takes someone she loves, someone whose life she is not willing to risk, she must quickly find a way to stop him once and for all or be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. Because Avari has nothing but time, has nothing to lose and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
Action-packed, electrifying and at times heartbreaking, WITH ALL MY SOUL takes readers on one last journey with Kaylee Cavanaugh as she faces off against a seemingly unstoppable enemy that has pursued her through life and the afterlife. With anger as her motivation and an unlikely ally, Kaylee's greatest challenge yet will keep readers on the edge of their seats and their eyes glued to the page as events unfold and lead up to the book's dramatic conclusion.
Author Rachel Vincent has once again put her characters through an incredible ordeal and taken her readers on a roller coaster ride of emotion in WITH ALL MY SOUL. Filled with exciting plot twists and turns, dialogue that is both heartfelt and moving and sarcastic and amusing, and a nail-biting build-up to an outcome that is heart-stopping, this last installment in the series can only be called phenomenal.
The author does not leave readers hanging at the story's end. All loose-ends have been tied up and all the larger questions about the remaining characters have been answered. And while the story wraps up in a way that will satisfy those readers who like to say their goodbyes and move on, it does allow for the reader's imagination to go beyond the story and look into the futures of those characters that do remain, for those readers that aren't quite ready.
WITH ALL MY SOUL is the perfect finish to this always entertaining, always surprising and always thrilling series.
And this story and series is a must for readers who want to discover a world that is unique, writing that is engaging, clever and oftentimes breathtaking, a plot that is suspense-, danger- and tension-filled, a heroine that is incredibly brave, selfless and relatable, and a love story that is eternal.
The hellions of the Netherworld have taken enough from Kaylee and her friends. Now it's time for them to form the ultimate plan to exact justice. Or is it actually revenge? We've already learned over the course of the series that Kaylee will do anything to protect her friends and family. The situation in With All My Soul is no different. She's been permanently changed, and there's a war raging inside her. While Kaylee tries to include everyone in the plan to get back their missing loved ones and take back their school, there's just some things she must do alone. I had no idea how far Kaylee would go to save everyone, including herself. Her decision at the end was shocking and heartbreaking. Did it work? Of course, but the price was extremely high.
Probably my favorite aspect of With All My Soul was the interactions and relationships between all of the characters. Everyone is present throughout the entire book as they band together to bring down Avari. However, they do fight, and there are some emotional scenes between them. Of course there's plenty of Kaylee and Tod, and we learn some very interesting information about the extent of their relationship. I also started to like Nash again. He's still upset with Kaylee and Tod, but he's trying. His relationship with Sabine is growing and it was nice to seem him focusing on her when she needed him. Even Sophie shows some growth and is no longer the super vicious, mean cousin that Kaylee grew up with. She tries to help as much as she can, but even she knows the limits of her abilities. Emma is dealing with the events of the previous book, and at times it puts a strain on her friendship with Kaylee. I just wish we had gotten to know Luca a bit better. At times it felt like it was just hanging out and snuggling Sophie without providing much. Oddly though, my favorite relationship was between Kaylee and Ira, the hellion of wrath. I can't say anything really without spoiling, but he's an interesting character and every important to the outcome of the story.
I absolutely loved With All My Soul. We may have gotten off to a rocky start, but by the end my jaw was on the floor. The stakes are so much higher than they've ever been. Those last chapters were intense and full of emotion. Kaylee is one smart cookie, and while I hate what she did, I'm glad she had the courage to do it. The very ending is a happy one, and I didn't notice any loose ends. Things are definitely not the same for everyone, but I think they'll all be okay. I'm just sad this series is over. I want more!
