What wasn't entertaining was the single shot "Wolverine: In the Flesh". Taking its cue from a sadistic and grisly type of entertainment like "Dexter" or a "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" show that delves into the lives of psychopaths Wolverine is on the hunt for whomever is literally butchering up people in the Bay Area. This distasteful story is completely at odds with the tone of the three-pronged main story and for the life of me I can't understand why the editorial board allowed this particular slice of trash to be included. While the main storyline was mild and almost on the verge of kid-friendly, the subject matter in the Wolvie story is adult and disgusting (there's a scene of the psychopath talking to a naked hostage strapped to a table). What's also a bother in this particular comic is how Wolverine is portrayed; a serial killer gets the better of him? It's completely gets the action and superior fighter of this superhero wrong, as well as being a stomach turner. Yech.
3.5 stars for the main storyline. 1.75 stars for the solo Wolvie story.
