Michelin meets up with his prodigies at a popular club. How Mich isn't recognized is mind boggling. One compromising photograph later and this popular country singer is outed as paying a stripper. But. Of course social media has it all wrong and now it's damage control. To make matters worse, Lucky, the dancer, isn't about to cave. His profession and job is on the line just as Michelin's. For both men it's going thru hell to get to heaven.
I'm not sure what it is about social media and 'famous' people being outed, but this is the second story I've recently read with that type of plot. The other is The Senator's Secret which is another great story.. . Anyway, Michelin and Lucky are forced together, hiding out from the press and fans. There were many cute adorable parts, humor, and romance. Michelin is color blind as anything and this disrupts Lucky's sense of fashion. .. . As a dancer, a gay dancer. Yup. And we all know that gay dancers have a huge fashion sense. So when Lucky met Michelin it was dog tags, sunglasses, hot shorts, and combat boots. Stop and stare and fall in lust. Oh yes. Michelin was hooked right from the start, then he had to find a way to win his man. Definitely a re-read. - Dan's Wife
Annabeth Albert has swiftly become one of my favorite authors and therefore my expectations for her books are always high. All Note Long was great and I would definitely recommend it.
This is a well-written book and the author really drew me in. This is my third book by this author and they've all featured one man as a near-virgin. I was going to be critical about that, but given the number of contemporary heterosexual stories involving virginal women in their late twenties/early thirties, I have decided this trope is here to stay and there's no reason it can't cross genders. She writes this well and there are convincing reasons for the lack of experience.
Absolutely loved Micheline and Lucky's relationship. They really had to learn to accept each other and compromise. Micheline is a fun character because he's not a huge musician stereotype. He's his own person with interesting flaws. And Lucky's the perfect happy, colorful, kickass to be at his side.
These three m/m romances are some of the best I've read. You don't need to read them in order but I think it helps, adds a bit of context by this third story.
Enter Lucky, a go go dancer he met at a club and life as he knew it was forever changed. Lucky is a bright light and perfect for Michelin and once he embraced change; he got Lucky.
