Kennedy always had a thing for Aubree, but the timing just never seemed right for the two of them. He has been patiently waiting for her to stop running, but can he finally stand up to his parents and live the life that he wants and not the one they have envisioned for him all this time? If both of them are worried about ruining their friendship instead of going after what they truly want, they may both lose. Sometimes, you have to take a leap of faith and go for it.
If you have read Lexi's other books, you will know immediately that this is the quintessential Lexi that we all love to follow. As always, her characters become part of your life and it's like you are right there with them. Since this is part of an anthology and there are three other authors writing about other characters, I'm not sure if they will be based in Abbott Springs or not. There are so many great characters that I would love to see get their own books, so who knows. We may not have seen the last of them yet.

Aubree's biggest challenge in returning is facing Kennedy Hale. He is a long time friend and confident who is also an unrequited love. After a failed attempt to remedy that love lingering in the recent past, Aubree is nervous and anxious to face him. There has been so much miss communication and things unsaid.
Kennedy Hale is the golden boy and ex-football high school star. His family has his life planned for him, returning home after college to work in the family business and one day become Mayor. So what if that's not his goal?! He has always had a thing for Aubree and envisions them together after she is done moving around and ready to settle back home.
Can Aubree quit running away and can Kennedy stand his ground with his overbearing father so that they can each live their truth?
For those of you who have read Lexi's books, this is quintessential Lexi and you will love it. For those of you who have not yet had the pleasure, Lexi has this unique way of developing characters you fall in love with quickly and pull for. Her writing is clean and beautiful with a touch of angst and a lot of love.
This story was originally part of an anthology, I'm anxious to get into the other intriguing characters especially Everly, the pink haired, rocker, best friend of Aubree.
Kennedy Hale is the town's golden boy, but not by choice. As the Mayor's son he has a lot of expectation placed on his shoulders and sometimes the load is more then he can bare. His best friend, Bree, is the only one that seems to understand him and what he truly wants in life. Not what everyone expects him to want. And he can't risk loosing that friendship, no matter how much he may be attracted to Bree and her free spirit. But when that camaraderie is threatened for good, can Bree and Kennedy set aside their insecurities and risk it all, or will the end up loosing everything in the end?
All or Nothing is a short story that is featured in the ALL I EVER WANTED anthology, a book of four stories centered around a group of friends in the quaint little town of Abbot Springs.
All or Nothing is a story about two best friends, Bree and Kennedy, who fight an attraction for one another to keep their friendship strong. Due to a not-so-stellar set of parents, Bree has abandonment issues and leads a bit of a roving lifestyle because of it. Kennedy is the complete opposite and has always played it safe in life. Bree's free spirited ways and Kennedy's steadfastness balanced each other out well. The progression from friends to lovers wasn't as fleshed out as it could have been due to the short length. But there was no denying the bond these two had from the beginning.
Bottom line; While not as emotionally intriguing as I have come to expect from this author, All or Nothing was a nice, quick story that I enjoyed.
