I'm highly active and bald, so I needed sun block that would protect my head and face but not irritate my eyes. The lotion version is clumpy, I always go with the spray and apply liberally. I generally use cheaper stuff on my body and this for my head and face. I've used this in desert conditions (Arabian Peninsula, Las Vegas, TX, Florida and so on) and haven't had a burn on my head once. It holds great for sports but I generally apply it every hour versus 1.5.due to the perspiration being so much higher. I stopped looking around after using this for a summer. I also recommend it to my friends who are being very careful with the ingredients of sun block. Cheers~

P.S. The bottle needs an update it constantly gets clogged and I have to take off the top and pour it in my hand, kinda defeats the purpose of the spray.

Bought first 3 oz 2012 when I went on vacation. Biodegradable, no slip, a little pasty but nothing a little rubbing didn't fix. No fragrance. My boyfriend used it, no sunburn. no complaints. Exp date: 2015.

I decided to buy another bottle this year, same size. Exp date: 2014 (less than a year...) It arrives and initially some separation so I squished inside the bottle hoping to re-mix the oil and sunscreen. Two days later on vacation under the blasting sun, I find out the entire bottle SOLIDIFIED and what I could get out of the bottle left heavy clumps of residue on our skin, not amendable to any amount of rubbing. I was horrified bc out of sunscreen otherwise. Thankfully we were offered OTHER forms of sunscreen and no one burned.

I come home, requested replacement voicing complaints about exp date being less than 1 year versus my first purchase (over 2 yrs exp date) and also terrible residue and solidification. I still have faith in this product and willing to forgive.

REPLACEMENT arrived today, consistency is good, exp date 2015 (acceptable) but I feel there is noticeably LESS sunscreen in the bottle. As I squeeze sunscreen out, my mother notices a break in the container and sunscreen leaking out. Could that be why I feel 3oz is less than it seems? COME ON. Where's the quality?? I had fond memories using this product, but recently I decide it's time to move on.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews about this product due to the thickness and lumpiness of the sun screen. It's true, it is more difficult to apply than more liquid and more toxic creams. But it WORKS. And it works well.
A few years ago while training for an Ironman Triathlon, I would regularly bike for 3 to 4 hours in 95 degree heat. Even after hours of sweating, the sunscreen was still protecting my skin. I never burned, and when I showered, I would have to vigorously scrub to remove the remaining sunscreen.
It will take you longer to apply, it will require more attention to make sure you cover your skin evenly, and your sweat will bead up on your skin. But you'll be protected, you won't smell like chemicals, you won't have to repeatedly reapply, and you won't burn. What else can you ask for?

I can't comment on the product itself because I only used it once...the packaging looks good & is a great idea but doesn't work at all. Upon first spray it got clogged so I had to uncap it to use and then because it was open it spilled everywhere leaving me with no product. The consistency of the sunscreen itself is very interesting, like ooze? And it's very greasy but the bottle says non-greasy?

I can't stand SPF. I have an aversion to it. We do not use it in our household unless we are going to the beach or a cruise in the middle of winter. The smell literally makes me sick, and the feel of it is so pasty and disgusting. Plus, after you apply it, you look like a ghost threw up on you, and the smell lingers even after a shower.

Not anymore. THIS STUFF ROCKS. It is a spray (pic seems to show a cream). It goes on like a mist of water. It spreads easily, and has almost zero odor! It kept my son from burning and did not leave weird streaks of pale skin next to burned skin. I even tried it and couldn't believe how much I like it. This is by far the best SPF we have ever used. As a huge bonus, if you look on the EWG website, you will see this product is very low on the toxicity spectrum. I NEVER thought I would give an SPF five stars, but this one very much earned them in my opinion.

The white residue is very difficult to blend in. I have to rub profusely for many minutes and it's a bit annoying. I hope it works in blocking out the sun. I did not get burned so I'm assuming it works.

I've been looking for an inexpensive zinc-oxide based sunscreen (non-nano and non-chemical sunscreen).

This is GREAT! It's easy/fast to apply & spread. It protects well (so far after a couple months of use). It even spreads in easily on hair on my legs/arms and even my shaved head (which creams won't work for this).

Some have mentioned this is a bit oily, but I don't think it's anymore oily than any other spray-type of sunscreen, and it's definitely not bothersome.

I'll CONTINUE to buy this sunscreen as our main 'spray', and use another product for our 'cream' sunscreen (creams are usually cheaper per ounce than spray)... but spray is much more convenient.

The ONLY problem (in general, not particular to this product) is I wish manufacturers could get the price down on sunscreen (in general), but I guess this is not a problem specific to this particular brand/product.
