Hero=Hawke Vance is so anti-marriage it isn’t even funny but when your father is married 9 time it tends to leave a lot to be desired.
Heroine-Amy Powell is a ballerina looking for a place to relax and heal before returning to Paris for her job.
Recommend- Hell yes!
For Hawke to have power over the family company to prevent is father newest wife from trying to take it like the ones before her he must marry. Amy is in some desperate need of money to save her brother but being injured makes dancing difficult. So, when Hawke proposes marriage for money, Amy jumps at the chance. Not only does she get money but she also gets a smoking hot husband! When make believe begins to feel real, that’s when things get complicated. I loved this story and I’m hoping there will be more in this series. It was very well written and kept me captivated until the very end. It was an easy 5 star read!
(I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.)
Operating under the assumption no one would be there, she's skinny dipping. When Hawke arrives home and sees this trespasser he verbally accosts her and is a total a@@ to her. He calms when he sees her injury but he's still angry at his father for remarrying yet again and is still concocting a scheme to take over the business.
Amy, not feeling welcome after his unholy reception, tells him she'll leave. He then overhears her on the phone talking to someone who needs money and by golly he's got his plan. His mother's will states he has to marry and stay married for 24 months to inherit her shares of the business. Mind you he's not doing this out of greed, he's doing it to protect the family assets and finish putting his other step siblings through college.
These two might be like oil and water. Amy gives as good as she gets, but the chemistry here is smoking hot. Candace really steamed this story up. After some consideration, they marry and no one knows it's a business deal as Hawke puts it. But the feelings develop and well...... Hawke is hot, a little gruff but the man has a sweet spot for his ballerina. Amy is just awesome, on her own since she was 14 she takes no crap from anyone, especially him. She's a scraper. I loved her. The story flows along nicely until the bottom drops out and well damn.... I thought what just happened? What kind of fool??? Read the book. It's a keeper.
Great story Candace, it was perfect!!

Due to Hawke Vance’s father just having married wife number 9, Hawke is scrambling to secure his family company from what he fears are the hands of another gold-digger. He’s worked hard the last few years to expand his company and make it a success. The past however, has taught him that his father’s taste in women is not the most reliable. And he fears this hasn’t changed this time around. He has one way to change this; he needs a wife.
This is where Amy Powell enters the picture. The beautiful ballerina is Hawke’s newest step-sister and roommate for the summer, nursing her insured ankle and knee back to health, before she goes back to Paris in the fall. This makes her the perfect fake wife.
What neither one of them has counted on however, is the insane attraction they share. Their fake relationship soon turns real, but can two people with trust-issues let go of their past and learn to trust? Or will the past rear its ugly head and ruin what they were building?
Hawke and Amy are perfect together, even if they don’t see it. I enjoyed their banter, sexual chemistry, and stubbornness. When these two got together sparks fly! Both of them had their issues and reasons to be weary of relationships. And one misunderstand just about cost them their future together—which made me want to shake both of them. But, I loved how as soon as they realized their mistakes, they found the strength and forgiveness to move on.
If you are in need of a quick read that will have you laugh out loud, swoon, and cheer for the characters, All I Want Is You is the one for you. I enjoyed this book and will pick up more of Miss Havens books whenever I’m need for a sexy read to cheer me up with its story line, loveable characters, and angst that will break your heart.
